The Go-To book for heartache and weariness

I've read this book twice and it has earned a spot in my library as the "break glass in case of emotional turmoil". The first time I read it was because Lisa's latest book was being advertised to me by one of my favorite authors. The second time was during the CoViD-19 pandemic. Two opposite ends of the mental state, but both were welcome times for her words. Highly recommend for anyone during any time of hurt.

Totally what I needed

This is an amazing book! Lysa hits the mark again with her vulnerability and clarity from God. A true messenger of God! So thankful for her life experiences and knowledge to help us all walk through life more confidently, knowing that we will all have struggles, but God is always with us through it all. :)

so helpful and encouraging

This book has helped me during a very difficult time. my circumstances are still difficult, this book helped to give me hope. definitely worth the listen.

Things to practice!

I will be coming back to review many of my notes. Some good pointers for me to utilize and draw on.

Inspiration

I love Lysa and have read all her books. She is so relatable and inspiring. She does not sugar coat the truth of her struggles. She makes me laugh and cry.

I thank God gave her a voice for women who love God.

A LIFELINE AT JUST THE RIGHT TIME

Our family is dealing with a very difficult situation as I listened to this book. A family member is fighting for her life with a very very painful condition and the questions arise: why does God not intervene, why do we not get any help with the pain, why does God seem to be silent. Lysa's answers are so appropriate and are like getting a life preserver thrown to you just before you go down the 3rd time.

A Message from God

Lysa is truly a vessel of Gods message. She's also a great narrator.
I bought the book but struggled to find time to read it. I'm trying Audible for the first time and so happy I got to listen while gardening from the author herself. So many important points of Gods scripture she brings to light and explains perfectly how the enemy uses our weaknesses by patterns but cannot predict our responses.
I can't wait to listen to the next book by Lysa!

Just accept is as growth....nah

Acceptance, a long way around this book to get to just accept it as teaching, growning...fine but that was no break through just the same old old

Encouraging book

I found this to be a very encouraging book as the author pointed me to Christ and His Word for hope. She shared enough personal illustrations from her own life that I knew she was speaking from experience and also knew something of failure.

It can be disheartening to read of someone who always does everything right! That’s the honest truth. I was pleasantly surprised. This was my first Lisa TerKeurst book. Thanks.

I loved Lisa's honesty that she offers in her book. Life is hard & we all need to know we're not alone! Great scripture to cling to & always VIP to be reminded of our need for God!:) Keep writing!
