A powerful methodology to help you switch on your body's innate ability to sleep well and how to build extraordinary energy.

Sleep problems aren't created when you put your head on the pillow. Everything you do during the day - every thought, every behaviour, every choice you make - can impact how you sleep at night.

Dr Nerina Ramlakhan, a physiologist and renowned sleep and energy expert, has worked with people for over 25 years. Combining this professional experience with academic and personal insights, she shares her view that sleep problems are not just about sleep but rather about how we deal with life and its inevitable challenges.

In this groundbreaking audiobook, she goes beyond traditional sleep methods to examine the true causes of sleep problems. Fast Asleep, Wide Awake shares a unique and highly practical process for accessing deep and restorative sleep and shifting from survival energy to a more sustainable and vibrant source of energy that we all have access to.

Using tools and techniques based on Western science and Eastern practices, learn how to sleep deeply and find the energy to embrace life's challenges with courage and optimism.

Fantastically insightful!

As a Personal Trainer who developing my career more towards the holistic side of health coaching I have found this book a breath of fresh air. The content covers so many areas that trinkets and health coaches alike talk about. I especially like the mix of both science and eastern style practices. This book is so much more than a sleep book, it's a guide book to healthy living.

Slightly different to what I was expecting...

...but in a good way. I was expecting a more scientific explanation of sleep disorders and the latest science evidence on solutions along with a few practical implementation tips given the author's background. This book does not go into the scientific detail though it does touch on some of these points. A big chunk of the book draws on spiritual and meditative traditions and the narrative includes a personal element. That said, while I was not expecting this, I found the book interesting, engaging and helpful. However, some people may be slightly uncomfortable with this holistic approach so this review is meant to prepare/warn them. The narration is excellent.

Very enjoyable and informative

I really liked the author's voice it was very soothing to listen to while at the same time felt authoritative and friendly.

I will listen again to this book so I can take notes as there are a lot of hints, tips, suggestions and exercises which I
am going to try.

Definitely would recommend for anyone suffering from insomnia.

Best book on sleep / energy so far

I have read many books on this subject. Evidence based, well researched. The writer is obviously passionate about the subject . Refreshing attitude as many 'professionals ' in generic medicine have little knowledge or interest in poor sleep health . This book is a practical, user friendly guide for anyone wishing to improve their sleep health. It has just enough depth to keep you interested, whilst citing it's references if you want to go further. Highly recommended
