    "Loved it! Mike Talbot Returns!!!"

I jumped on this one as soon as I found it. I had no idea that there was going to be a Lycan Fallout but it was a welcomed surprise when I saw it. There a re a couple of surprises in this book, a series of new characters being introduced and a bunch of old characters resurfacing. If you even remotely liked Zombie Fallout, you will absolutely be floored with Lycan Fallout.

I very much appreciated the fact that Sean Runnette has returned. I am willing to say now that I am a complete fan of Sean Runnette as a narrator. I never noticed how many titles I have that is narrated by him in my library and each and every one of them I find that I have thoroughly enjoyed.

Lycan Fallout itself and Mark Tufo on a whole is a combination of old and new. Old in the sense that you are once again thrown into the world of Mike Talbot in a time long after the happenings in Zombie Fallout. Not a direct sequel of the book but somewhat of an alternate reality... If you have listened to any other Mark Tufo books you will see Mike Talbot's character reoccurring in varying situations. New in the sense that there are now Lycans, the quest to regain his soul and the appearance of varying new characters.

"One Fallout Isn't Enough for Michael Talbot"

First of all, i have assumed that this book was a stand alone book, but its a new fallout series, which is amazing, and its starring our dear friend Michael Talbot. although it is weird that a new series have started, while the first one starring Michael Talbot didn't finish yet, but still its a great idea.

So after mankind survived from zombies, Lycans and warewolfs find it their turn to eat and kill all man kind.. Mark Tufo, give man kind a break.. a 150 years is not enough for them. Not going to say which characters from the zombie fallout come here, you have to read the book to find out, lets just say its a good combination.

This first book was bloody and had a really sad ending. but I feel that this is nothing comparing to what Tufo has in his mind.

Another great beginning for a series, and looking forward for the next book and series.

    JUST SHUT UP MIKE, PLEASE
I skimmed over the summary and did not catch that Mike Talbot was the main character in this. I would have passed, as I can not stand this guy. He was not as bad as he was in book 2 of the zombie fall out books, but he eventually got on my nerves. If a movie is made with Talbot, Mike Douglas will need to play the part, he is always being chased by women and everyone keeps wondering why.

I have actually listened to quite a few Tufo books. Those without Talbot usually get four stars and because of subject matter and high ratings, I keep getting sucked in. Plus, his books keep going on sale. This will probably be my last. Tufo is trying to become the American version of Douglas Adams in horror instead of Sci-Fi.

I did think it was interesting that the Lycan are very similar to Hyenas. When a hyena gives birth, she usually has a boy and a girl and one usually kills the other. With hyenas usually the girl kills the boy, so the hyena population is mostly female. This story probably would have been better had tufo continued this comparison and made most lycan, females.

The narrator has a very melancholy voice and sounds like he should be doing commercials for Country Time Lemonade.

"Mark Tufo knocks it out of the park again"
Would you listen to Lycan Fallout again? Why?

Absolutely. Mark Tufo's books are must-reads and must-rereads for me. Talbot has become part of the family and while I find myself occasionally yelling at him because he's being stupid, it's because i find myself caring for him and identifying with him. Reliving the adventures only brings him back to life for me.

Who was your favorite character and why?

    Michael Talbot. Duh.

What about Sean Runnette’s performance did you like?

Sean Runnette IS Michael Talbot. His accent, reading style, and everything just brings a lot of life and humor into the book, where other narrators just fall flat.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Talbot's adventures ALWAYS make me laugh and cry. He's real to me, and I enjoy living through the adventures with him.

    "Awesome.....yup, just awesome!"

EXCITED! Not a werewolf fan but after reading Tufo's Lycan Fallout I am now becoming a fan. The book follows a weary and depressed (until he gets mad) Mike Talbot (now a vampire) on a quest to save mankind against werewolves and lycans. Witches, Zombies, Vampires, Werewolves, and Lycans oh no! This book as it all. Will mankind prevail? Will Mike rally the villages to come together to fight? Will he make it in time? You will just have to read Rise of the Werewolf and wait for the rest in the series to find out.

Narration was perfect as always....Sean Runnette is a perfect fit!!!!!

"a must listen for those who are waiting for ZF8..."

I love all of Mark Tufo's books but his Zombie Fallout series is the best in my humble opinion. I get depressed when I know the end of the latest book is coming and I will again have to wait for the next book to come out. This book helped tide me over for a bit waiting for ZF8. It is not the same by far and many of the characters are obviously not in it, but there are a few left and it was just enough to get you into this new stage in Mike Talbot's life. If you love the Zombie Fallout series, you should listen to this book...

Would you consider the audio edition of Lycan Fallout to be better than the print version?

I enjoy being able to listen to the book, Sean Runnette is a capable performer who does an amazing job with the characters.

What did you like best about this story?

That this book takes place in the future with some of the same characters and brings in new characters with links to the past

What does Sean Runnette bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Sean's performance brings the action and characters to life

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

    Mike's Travels continue

"Good fun and a smart ass Talbot"

Lycan Fallout is the first book which somewhat continues after Zombie Fallout. If you don’t like zombies but want a fun action book come on down. If you liked the Mike Talbot character from Zombie Fallout then you should probably read this as he’s just as much of smart ass here as he was there. The book has a familiar cast of characters and is good fun. It has a good balance of action and moving the story along and made me laugh in a number of places. I can’t wait to see what happens in book number 2!

Sean Runnette is a great Narrator and he does wonderfully here.

"Mark Tufo does it again !"
What made the experience of listening to Lycan Fallout the most enjoyable?

The combination of Mark Tufo's writing and Sean Runnette's oratory skills continue to shine through as absolute brilliance in this off shoot story of the wonderful Zombie Fallout series. The story is well crafted and well back dropped, the change in the irrepressible Mike made me even want to slap him and say get on with it. Classic story telling and utterly wonderful narration from Mr Runnette

Who was your favorite character and why?

Mike Talbot is a legendary character from Mark, flawed in so many ways and yet never afraid to be the first in danger and try to save the day, in a world were most good will has disappeared following the desolation of the Zombie Fallout, the new danger rises and Mike reluctantly, flawed, brilliant and heroically, still plunges in to help again and try to save the very unworthy mankind.

What about Sean Runnette’s performance did you like?

Sean Runnette's performance is outstanding, I could not listen to the series or any Mark Tufo book without him now, the perfect blend of story telling brings out the best audio story telling I have heard, and I have well over 100 audio books from here now, he just sucks you into the story and masterfully immerses you into it and makes you fall in love with the main characters.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Without a doubt wanted to listen to this in one go, was so annoyed I had to go to work after a long trek up the motorway listening to this, just could not wait to get out of my meeting so I could begin listening again !

    Any additional comments?

Mark Tufo and Sean Runnette are the Audio book equivalent of Nirvana for a man that has listened to far to many distinctly average offerings from other authors and orators !! Classic and so under praised.

    "Another awesome dose of Talbot"
Would you listen to Lycan Fallout again? Why?

Yes. Most definitely. I love Mark's books. The characters are so real-life that they almost become friends. This new series, although just starting out, is no exception. It's going to be a good one.

What did you like best about this story?

Talbot! I love his irreverent outlook on life(or unlife). I usually listen to these books while travelling and there are many times when I have had to stop the car until the giggles have passed (or the misty eyes).

Which scene did you most enjoy?

BT's descendant. Won't say any more but it's really funny.

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Marks books always engender a full range of emotions. When a character dies, it is like losing a real friend or if something good happens, it lifts your spirits.

    Any additional comments?

Come on Mark. Let's have book two.

"Not a Stand-Alone As Advertised But Still Good"
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes but I would advise they read Turbo's other books that center on the protagonist, Michael Talbot. I was frustrated by the numerous references to things that happened in other books about the same character even though this is suppose to be a stand-alone book.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Michael Talbot. He is a very complex character yet somehow very human and feels like he has a lot of life lived with secrets untold in both a good way (3-dimensional character) and a bad way (i.e. references to events I knew nothing about from other books).

Have you listened to any of Sean Runnette’s other performances? How does this one compare?

I listen to Runnette's work on Breeds and he was just as good here. Funny enough this book reminds me of the work by the author of Breeds, Keith C. Blackmore. The writing style is similar as is the story development strategies.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, it was engaging and suspenseful throughout and very well written.

    Any additional comments?

This is marketed as a stand-alone novel. However, all through the book, there are references to things that happened in the author's 'zombie fallout' books. At one point the protagonist even mentions his encounter with aliens which is another complete book series entirely again!

The first time such a reference was made I thought that was ok as the character is obviously well developed across a range of books. However, after several more times I was starting to get slightly miffed and then I was downright annoyed when Michael Talbot in one of his 'journal notes' actually refers to something that happened in the zombie apocalypse and says something along the lines of "you will have to read my other zombie journals to learn more about that story."

I honestly feel like a missed a lot of, not very cleverly masked, "insider references" and was left with the impression I would have enjoyed the story far more if I had started on a book in the earlier series (Zombie Fallout) which was the start of Michael Talbot's journey.

Basically, my point is - don't market a book as a stand-alone work if it has numerous references to things that have happened in previous books - they are obviously tied in. Just be honest and tell people to start with the other series instead of being worried about losing a sale!

I now do not know whether to continue with this series, which is very good and would have been 5-stars but for the mismarketing, or to start at the beginning of Michael Talbot's journey as I don't want to come across lots of other references to events I know nothing about in the next Lycan book.

Mark Tufo never fails to delight, I loved this book! I'm a big fan of the Zombie Fallout series so I was looking forward to listening to this, and I wasn't disappointed, no-one draws you into a post apocalyptic landscape like Mark Tufo, I highly recommend any of Mark's books to anyone looking for something on the darker side. Vividly described, wonderful characters, intense and never a dull moment. This book will hold you from the first word till the last. Sean Runnette's narrates like very few people can, he has a real campfire voice that you cant stop listening to.
