A New Take on Vampires

In almost every book I’ve ever read about monsters I always wonder why there isn’t an organized army to fight monsters. If you’ve ever wondered the same thing this book is for you. This series has everything - a hero who you’ll pray will learn his lesson before it’s too late, a heroine who is his equal on the battlefield, strong leaders who aren’t afraid to ruffle feathers, mighty warriors, fierce monsters, fiercer friendships, and narrow escapes! I like this series and I hope the third book will be on Audible soon. I also hope that the author will publish more stories.

Simon Vance is a master of his trade and Morris' story makes it easy on him in this one.

This is a great story!! Loved it! I can't wait to get my hands on the second book.

truly evil enemies

The nostros are truly diabolical - which makes the action sequences very suspenseful. I liked the character of Jack a lot - not perfect and reminded me in moments of another fictional Jack I like (Reacher - from the books not the movies of course!). Simon Vance is fantastic as usual and I'm looking forward to hearing what happens in the next tale.

It was an enjoyable way to spend a work day. Not to deep, but I wasn’t trying for a philosophical debate.
