Just amazing!!!

It’s about time I read a story that is pure love and calming to my soul. First book by the author. Will be looking at her other books. Please check her out!!

Great story and wonderful start to the series

Yes, because I like the story and the narration got better as the story progressed.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Sebastian. I love the way he acts, is portrayed, and his description. He is the dream book boyfriend.

Have you listened to any of Kasha Kensington and Aiden Snow ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No, I haven't.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I laughed. i think the emotional element was there and at times it was a fun read, but there was also drama and romance.

As with all of my audio book reviews, this will be split into two parts. The story and the narration. Irresistible Love by Layla Hagen is the first book in the Bennett Family Series. Sebastian is under pressure to find someone and get married. It's sort of a family joke, but at the same time, his parents would love to see him settle down...as they would all of his siblings. But he hasn't found anyone and doesn't know if he actually believes in love. Sure his parents found it, but he hasn't. Besides, he's too busy trying to run his business empire. Ava is going to help him make his next launch even bigger, now if she would only stop wanting him. Will they be able to stay away from each other, or will they both learn what it means to love?

Story: 4.5 stars
I liked the characters and the story progression, and I can't wait to read the other books in the series. It has a little bit of everything: romance, humor, emotion, etc. And you will love Sebastian. I kind of want him for myself. Good plot, well written, and enjoyable. 

Narration: 4 stars (overall)
This book had two different narrators. I'll start with Aiden Snow. The narrator seemed to embrace the character and made Sebastian come to life. His intonation was great and while there were a couple of spots he seemed flat, overall, he was great. I could definitely listen to his voice over and over again. The next narration was done by Kasha Kensington. As the story moved on, her narration got better, however, in the beginning I wasn't drawn in. She didn't bring Ava to life for me until several chapters in. Statements sounded like questions and some lines seemed more monotone. However, when she got more into the story, things began to change and improve. 

Overall rating: 4 stars
While I liked the story, I think there were parts of the narration that interrupted the pleasure of listening to this book. That's not to say it wasn't good, overall, it was. I highly recommend this book and the audio book. 4 stars. 

So happy for a new series

This was a really good book. I loved both characters and the development of the side characters that made me want more from the series. I'm always happily surprised when a book with hot bedroom scenes also comes sans drama. It's refreshing.
Definitely recommend this book.

Hot AND Respectful!!

I don't know about you, but I've had such a hard time finding a romance novel that has both the sexy scenes I love and a relationship that is actually full of respect. Most of the books I've found feature an asshole guy and a weak female lead that puts up with it. This book is sooo refreshing! Ava is a strong and independent woman and Sebastian is a hard-working, caring, hot man that just wants to spoil her. This book actually features a healthy relationship, AND delicious sex scenes. It's definitely one of my new favorites!

Intriging Concept, Mediocre Execution

I liked the concept of a romantic series that featured siblings of a successful family who were not born rich but rather worked together to build the business. While I believe the author is talented, I was hoping for more character development and less whining.

I never connected with oldest brother Sebastian who claimed he never dated a woman who wasn't just interested in his money. Maybe he should have questioned his own choices and picked his dates more wisely or spent time getting to know a woman before having sex.

Likewise, Ava was relentlessly negative and insecure in spite of being smart, educated and attractive. Ava willingly signed a contract that forbid her from dating clients, then decided to risk her professional reputation. Why sign a contract that she wasn't willing to follow? Hopping in bed with a new client (and total stranger) showed bad judgment and low self-esteem.

Considering their bad dating experiences, I didn't find their instant true love very believable. There were cute moments and the potential for more, but the emphasis on sex details instead of personalities did not fit this couple's ages (early 30s). Although mildly entertaining, I was expecting more substance from the Bennett family.

Really liked the book

I really liked the book, it was a great story and I loved the characters in the book.
