Publisher's summary

Jason Thorn...my brother's childhood friend. Oh, how stupidly in love with that boy I was. He was the first boy who made me blush, my first official crush. Sounds beautiful so far, right? That excitement that bubbles up inside you, those famous butterflies you feel for the very first time - he was the reason for them all. But you get to live in that fairy tale world only until they crush your hopes and dreams and then stomp on your heart for good measure. And boy did he crush my little heart into pieces.

After the stomping part, he became the boy I did my best to stay away from - and let me tell you, it was pretty hard to do when he slept in the room right across from mine. When tragedy struck his family and they moved away, I was ready to forget he ever existed. Now he's a movie star, the one who makes women of all ages go into a screaming frenzy. Me? I'm Olive, a new writer. Actually, I'm the writer of the book that inspired the movie he is about to star in on the big screen. As of late, I am also referred to as the oh, so very lucky girl who is about to become the wife of Jason Thorn.

Contains mature themes.

Such a Sweet Cute Story

This one was so good I loved ever minute of it! There wasn't a lot of conflict or stupid misunderstandings like some romance novels. There was just the right amount of drama and Light-heartedness to fulfill my every need. I must say for the first time EVER I think Sebastian York didn't feel right for this character. I know saying that is like sacrilege, even for me, but it's just my opinion. I LOVE SY something fierce and buy books soley based on the fact that he's the narrator so its hard for me to say it. I felt like Lidia's portrayal of Jason embodied his character that was cute young and funny but Sebastian's portrayal seemed more heavy and serious rather than lighthearted and carefree. His voice during the sex scenes was obviously Hot and he's amazing as always but just had a different voice in my mind. Regardless this book is awesome and most definitely worth the credit/ $.

Redeeming qualities

This story was fantastic! So cute. Loved the overall storyline.

Issues:
The author didn’t seem to use any contractions throughout, making some dialogue extra cringey, and unnatural. “But you are the one that I want!” Etc.
The male lead was the typical character, though Sebastian York can do no wrong.
The female narration was..... meh.

yay

I read this I think before some stuff was edited out. On Wattpad years ago I believe. This version is 10000x better. It cut out a lot of truly unreasonable and gutwrenching drama. If I remember correctly I had to stop reading because by 2/3rd of the way through I wished death upon both "protagonists". This version is transformed into a lovely story where true love prevails and I love it. Thank you so much to the author and/or editor for creating this much better version.

Great Story

I loved the story. Lidos Dornet and Sebastian York were great narrators. My only disappointment was having them read separate chapters instead of each having the roles.

Surpassed my expectations.......

If you could sum up To Love Jason Thorn in three words, what would they be?

Loss, Live, Love.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I think Jason was my favorite because, without giving away any spoilers he could have been a real douche, but was not. He was always honest with Olive, throughout the whole story.

Which character – as performed by Lidia Dornet and Sebastian York – was your favorite?

I think both did a great job, but I sooooo love Sebastians' voice. I wanna just crawl inside the story and have his voice whispering sweet nothings to ME.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

It was great when Jason realized he loved Olive.

Any additional comments?

This was a new author to me, I think she did a really good job. The story was well written, and I liked the narrators as well. All in all it was worth the credit and I will probably listen to the story again at a later time.

Great Feel Good Story!

This story is a true feel good romance. The type you listen to to feel good. Love the performances. They did an amazing job. My only wish was that it was longer so the story could have been developed more. Things happened too fast and there was not really enough true heartache or turmoil. But overall a good story. Credit well used.

Get rid of the female narrator’n

Cute love story! A Fun plot. I really struggled with the female narrator. Very annoying. To me, her character did not bring out the book… And Sebastian York was perfect and my favorite male narrator.

Wonderful story about first love

Narration: Sebastian York and Lidia Dornet made for an excellent duo narrating this story. I absolutely enjoyed listening to the story as told through their voices.

Olive meets her brothers friend Jason when she is 8 years old. One of the first things she says to him is "Let's get married". Jason has a rough family life and spends most of his time at Dylan and Olive's house. Spending all this time together just makes Olive's love for Jason grow.

Olive writes a novel while in college that becomes a best seller and is optioned into a movie. The love story in the novel is modeled after what she hoped happened between her and Jason. In the time they have been apart Jason has become a Hollywood Heart Throb. Studio execs want him to play the love interest in Olive's novels movie adaptation. The two rekindle their friendship and ultimately their love.

I absolutely loved this story. It was a slow burn romance that had me rooting for Olive on every page.
