I even went as far as making rules for what he’d dubbed our “undates.”

But eventually, our explosive attraction became too much to bear, and we broke our resolve. I let my guard down and started to really fall for Colby.

Nothing could have prepared me for the ride he took me on. And I certainly wasn't prepared for where I'd wind up when the ride was over.

All good things must come to an end, right?

Except our ending was one I didn't see coming.

one of my favorites of the year

This was my first book by both of these authors and I loved it! I can't wait to read more books from these authors as a duo as well as individually.

Colby and Billie were so amazing together. Their chemistry was there from the start. I thought Colby's idea of "undating" was really cute. It was such a nice way for them to get to know each other without any expectations of anything happening, and a way for Billie to gain trust in Colby after what she had gone through previously.

I adored Colby's friend group and Billie's close friendships as well. There were so many great side characters in this story. And I can't forget Saylor! She was absolutely adorable.

The conflict in this book made me a little nervous because things could have gone so many different ways. But one of my favorite parts of this story was how Billie stuck by Colby through everything, gave him space to process even if he didn't want it, and supported Colby through it all.

Please tell me there will be more books about the other guys in Colby's friend group! I need more of these characters.

I listened to the audio version of this book and loved both of the narrators. Maxine Mitchell is one of my favorite narrators, so I loved her performance as usual. Zachary Webber did an amazing job as well.

Nail biter

“The Rules of Dating” is kind of an unusual name for this story. From the moment Caden sees Billie he is enamored by her. His attempts to get her to agree to go on a date with him are unsuccessful. He is a single father and Billie is unsure whether or not she ever wants to become a mother. Caden eventually talks Billie into un-dating him instead (hanging out as friends only). Billie can’t help falling for Caden and his adorable daughter Sailor. 4 yrs after the birth mother drops Caden’s daughter off at his door and fleeing, the birth mother reappears with unrealistic demands. This story has humor and fury. It is a great story. As usual Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland never let us down.

Such a Drama

With everything going on in this country I’m sure there are many children born between citizens and non citizens. Extremely emotional story.

Never am I disappointed with these authors. They deliver EVERY SINGLE TIME!! From start to finish it was excellent!! Also the narrators were superb as well!! ❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥

I really enjoyed this book and even shed a few tears towards the end. It's not every day you meet your soul mate, so when you do and then you're ripped apart because of unforeseeable reasons, it's devastating. The transition from landlord/tenant to "un-dating" to dating, to love was great. overcoming the obstacles was even better. Great story and excellent narration. 👏 👌 👍

Whole immigration story not likely.

Just reporting this incident to the INS would’ve likely had this woman deported immediately before she could file court papers especially with a recording of her actions
