Love this book!

this is my third time listening to this book and I love it every time.

A wonderful start to a new series by Layla Hagen!

4.5 stars - The author must've done her homework prior to writing this book cuz I truly felt as though I was touring New Orleans while reading The Flirt, and now I need to really visit and try all the delicious food!

Chad won my heart the second he interacted with his daughter, as I'm a sucker for a single dad. He's trying to balance work life and home, but has an amazing family to lean on for support.

With Scarlett, I expected something to happen with her ex, so I was constantly on my toes waiting for the other shoe to drop. I enjoyed watching her bond with Emma over her love of Harry Potter and baking.

I read this in sections, but always found myself coming back to it as a way to wind down at night. Found family vibes were strong throughout the story and I love the Grandmas most of all.

My 2nd read through was via audiobook and the dual narration was superb! I love hearing the characters come to life and can't wait to read it again this way.

I'm so excited for Julian's story next, as he's my favorite in the LeBlanc Brothers series so far!

Sweet with strong personalities

Summary bit
Single dad romance who finds love. Story works around cooks in a kitchen. Female lead quits her job because her boyfriend is verbally abusive and technically her boss. Moving to Orleans. She finds a new job at a family owned restaurant. Which happens to be a very famous one. Owned by a rich family. Male lead wife bails and they spilt parent duties. He happens to a boss of he’s new chef and a new romance comes about. Learning to trust again. Also to drama of the exes. Creates a good romance story.

Review bit
I love this author. Men who know how to treat woman. Second series so far and loving them all so far. Steamy parts. True romance. Little drama tossed in. No edge of your seat feelings in it. But calm and loving. Character growth is pretty good also.

Narration review?
Narrator started off a little rough. A couple of voices sounded like there was something in their mouth when talking. But got better a few chapters through.
Ended good.

Would I recommend this book?
Yes, this is a good series so far and strong romance.

Just, beautiful!

This book is not only about Chad and Scarlett, it is also about sweet and sassy Bella. Also kind of an introduction to the rest of the LeBlanc- Broussard family. It will be a very interesting 'ride', the next stories. I voluntarily reviewed an ALC of this book.

New must read series

New must read family series from Layla Hagen. I can't get enough of her family series and I'm super excited for a new one. This one takes place in New Orleans, which is fun because it's a city I don't know much about and I enjoyed learning a bit along with Scarlett. I love the instant connection between Scarlett and Chad and they have great chemistry. I can't get enough of single dad romances and this one did not disappoint. The series feels promising because the family dynamic is great in the book and there's a great supporting cast of family members. Already looking forward to the next book!
