Publisher's summary

Sexy. Intriguing. Easy. Eli Boudreaux's family has built ships and boats in Louisiana for generations. He comes from a hardworking, wealthy family, and his empire is growing by leaps and bounds. At 30 he is the youngest CEO ever to head Bayou Enterprises, cochairing with his eldest brother. His head for business and his no-nonsense work ethic are also quickly making him the best the company has seen in generations. His staff admires him, women adore him, and Eli's family is solid. But he's recently discovered that someone on the inside of his business is stealing from him, and he's determined to find out who.

Kate O'Shaughnessy is hired by companies all over the world to slip inside and investigate every member of the organization, from the CEO down to the custodial staff, to find the person or persons responsible for embezzling. She's excellent at blending, becoming part of the team, and finding the weakest link. She's smart, she's quick witted, and she's now been hired by Bayou Enterprises, specifically Eli Boudreaux.

The attraction is immediate, and the chemistry is off the charts, but Kate has heard all about Eli's playboy past, and she has a job to do. Sleeping with the boss isn't a part of that job, even if just the sound of her name rolling off that Cajun tongue and the way he fills out a designer suit does make her sweat. Eli's Southern charms surprise Kate. The man whose reputation labels him as a ruthless, callous womanizer is not the man she's coming to know intimately. He's generous and protective, and he makes her smile.

Cracking through Kate's cool, reserved demeanor and discovering her love of sexy, expensive lingerie is a challenge Eli can't resist, but her sweet nature, love of family, and sense of humor pull at him in ways no one else ever has. But when the person responsible for trying to singlehandedly dismantle Eli's empire comes to light, and it's time for Kate to move on, to what lengths will Eli go to keep the woman he's fallen in love with by his side?

Loved it

Great story for the hopeless romantic.

I liked the characters. It had a great ending with closure.

Inconsistent narration

Would you try another book from Kristen Proby and/or Sebastian York and Rachel Fulginiti ?

I'd have to read the reviews on other Kristen Proby books to try her again because there was nothing original about this story line. I could feel the believable emotion in Rachel Fulginiti's narration but not so much Sebastian York. He has a great sounding voice, but I find his delivery a bit dry like just reading words off a script at times.

What was most disappointing about Kristen Proby’s story?

The story was pretty much the same as a lot of the romance books. Man and/or woman has been hurt before and doesn't believe they deserve love, deep feelings develop way fast not seeming realistic, female lead gets hurt or threatened in some way causing male lead to realize his true feelings that he has been denying. Same/similar scenarios with different characters in different settings.

What three words best describe Sebastian York and Rachel Fulginiti ’s voice?

Both Sebastian York and Rachel Fulginiti have great voices that were easy to listen to. Rachel did a good job with the accents as well.

Was Easy Love worth the listening time?

This was really like the same old story line and I would spend my time with something else more original given the choice.

Any additional comments?

One thing that really killed getting into this book was that Eli, the male love interest, is supposed to have a southern accent. Rachel narrates his lines with an accent but Sebastian York did not. Totally made no sense and really ruined the male part for me. Don't know why one narrator would do it one way and one the other when the character is supposed to have an accent.

Also, the whole part describing how someone was embezzling money from the company was so unrealistic. It's like no research at all was done by the author on the subject matter. How such a crime could be committed and how it would be investigated was completely wrong and uninformed. I say this, because I work in forensic accounting.

For example, imagine someone making the statement "He's good at the computer"... Um, does that mean he fixes computers? Is he good at internet research? Is he an IT security expert? It's a comment made without knowing anything about the subject matter.

Sebastian York is the frosting on the cake!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes!

Have you listened to any of Sebastian York and Rachel Fulginiti ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I will listen to anything Sebastian York narrates. There is nothing sexier than a man's deep, sensual voice during a love scene to bring out the passion in the writing. He doesn't try to use a cheesy imitation Southern accent that might take away from the book and make a listener cringe. If you can't pull the accent off don't go there.

The hero is a dominant male and Sebastian's voice does him justice. Rachel does a fantastic job, as well!

Very Predictable

Overall the story was easy going. The narration was easy to listen to. The story really lacked depth and had plot holes.

I will not be listening or reading any further books from this author.

Fun Book

Any additional comments?

This was a fun book to listen to. The story wasn't perfect but it had a lot of charm. It was absolutely worth a credit. Sebastian York was almost perfection as the narrator. He really brought the main character's personality to life. I didn't love that he threw in a kinda new orleans accent here and there but it was easily overlooked. He is the best narrator out there these days.

Great book from favorite author. However the narration is distracting...

Kristen Proby is a favorite author of mine who's an automatic purchase for me and Rachel Fulginiti and Sebastian York are also 2 of my favorites narrators.
As always Kristen Proby does not disappoint and the narrators individually don't disappoint. The difference in the accents with the 2 different narrators for the same characters though was a distraction for me. Not enough to ruin the book but enough to keep me from getting completely immersed in the story.
This is an example in my opinion of when choosing one narrator instead of two would have been a better choice.
I'm not sure how the production of audiobooks works but I think the producer would be more to blame then the actual narrators in this circumstance. It won't stop me from continuing with the series but I might just be downloading it onto my kindle to read on my own instead.

Story was good, narration not so much

The story was good, well constructed with good pacing and enjoyable characters. But the story has a hero from New Orleans and the female half of the narration team is doing southern accents. It pulled me out of the story when the male narrator did not.
