Publisher's Summary

After her divorce, Charlene Dugan vowed never to get married again - a promise she has kept for twenty-five years. Until the fateful day she finds herself uttering the well-known phrase - "Let's get married!" Almost immediately, Charlene's seemingly perfect life begins unraveling at the seams. Daughter Stephanie's own relationship is about to disintegrate, and she might be just a teensy-weensy bit jealous of her mom. And Charlene seems to be spending more time with her ex-husband than with her fiancé, Dennis. What's more confusing is that Dennis doesn't seem to mind too much. In fact, he sees the wedding consultant more often than Charlene does. The wedding party is now officially out of control. They're calling for rain and the bride has cold feet. This isn't exactly what Charlene had in mind. But maybe it's not too late to finally decide on who and what she really wants.

Laughed aloud, but lots of insight too

Therese Plummer is an excellent narrator, as always. She has a wide variety of voices, great with both male and female characters. Very straightforward and natural.

Lots of characters, and a very human set of events. Enjoyed the humourous moments, as well as those where characters came to greater self-awareness. Highly recommend this great story. I thought it was one of Robyn Carr's best.

Easy read

Pretty good, fast pace book. Not a turn pager, I can't wait to read, book... But enjoyed listening to it while doing something else. Easy to follow

GOOD..DIFFERENT..NOT MY FAVE...BUT STILL GREAT!!

Charlene and Dennis have been together for a long while...its comfortable...but no real spark...they decide to marry...and then everything go to hell...Charlene's life is always busy...but with a sick mom and a needy daughter added in she just loses track of time left and right...Dennis meets the wedding planner and the sparks fly...but really these 2 are better off friends then lovers and it all turns out ok in the end....Good story!!

Ok..

I keep looking for Robyn Carr to write more books to match her Virgin River series but I haven’t found one yet. This book was ok at best. I didn’t love any of the characters and the story which, of course, was super predictable just didn’t do it for me. Save your credit. Carr writes much better stories than this one.

one of Robyn Carr's best

You can't go wrong with Robyn Carr and Therese Plummer! I've listened to all the Virgin River books more than once, would love just one more! But this was a wonderful surprise, interesting characters and a great story! Can't wait to see what she comes up with next!

Only fair.

Once again the narrator saved the book. The story itself was far fetched and the characters were not that interesting or likable. Not worth a credit in my opinion.
