I decided to read this because I love the author and her previous works. This was a great story and well written. I really enjoyed the relationships between the characters and how realistic they were. I enjoyed learning a little bit more about the part of the country that this story was set in. For me, the romance was lacking compared to some of my favorite Robyn Carr books but I realize that’s not the point or genre she may have been going for. Overall another five star book from a great author.

This was enjoyable although a little predictable, controlling abusive husband and wife who finally decides to leave after 24 years. The story of abuse is quite well done and I was interested to find whst happens.

I’ve always love reading Robyn Carr books but I think this one is exceptional. Fantastic storyline, and characters are great. I couldn’t stop listening to it. I highly recommend getting this book.
