Not my favorite

Overall, storyline is great. Therese Plummer did a an amazing job narrating.
I didn’t care for the main character. She was such a jerk.
And way Too much yelling for me in the first half of the book, I skipped 2 or three chapters because of it.

I love all of Robyn Carr books, especially when narrated by Therese Plummer. Can’t wait for the next book

Loved this story

I just finished the Virgin River series (much to my chagrin) and was looking for another Carr book. Stumbled onto this one and loved every minute of it. I related best to Jeri. Her story hit a few notes with me. Very cute story.

This book is very different from the Virgin River and VR spin offs. But in my opinion much, much better.

Enjoyable Easy Read

Listen here - maybe an UNLIKELY series of events - but this is a work of fiction! Despite that I really LOVED the characters, the deep bonds of friendship especially through the hard times! I saw myself in these characters and my friendship and marriages in these characters.

This was a quick read for me - and I enjoyed the journey through this little time period in their lives. I thought it was well written and well paced! The characters had dimension - definitely unique situations - but a string of caring, compassion and friendship tied the story together and with a bow! Some of it was predictable but sometimes I like a nice simple story!
