Publisher's summary

New York Times best-selling author Susan Mallery is world renowned for her "insightful, funny, and poignant" stories (Booklist). With her brand-new Mischief Bay series, Susan brings to vivid color the story of three friends on the brink of a new life.

Nicole Lord wants to be a good wife, but there's a difference between being supportive and supporting her husband, who quit his job to write a screenplay she's never seen. He won't even help take care of their son, leaving Nicole to run the house and work full-time at her Mischief Bay Pilates studio. Can she say enough is enough without losing the man she loves?

Sacrificing a personal life for her career is how Shannon Rigg rose to become vice president in her firm, but she wonders now whether she made the right choice. An exciting new relationship with a great guy convinces her that it might not be too late--until he drops a bombshell that has her questioning whether she can have it all. And if she can, does she want it?

Although Pam Eiland has a beautiful house and a husband she adores, she feels...restless. She wonders who a stay-at-home mom becomes after the kids are grown. Finding sexy new ways to surprise her husband brings the heat and the humor back to their marriage, but when unexpected change turns her life upside down, she'll have to redefine herself. Again.

Through romance and heartbreak, laughter and tears, three very different women will discover that friends can become family, and that life is richer with sisters at your side.

slow

I enjoyed parts of this book but I felt it was slow to start then it got pretty good but then just came to an ending that left some of the ending out. what I mean is I feel some of the ending of some of the characters was dropped.

I wasn't real happy with this book.

The characters and their situations were brought to life and made me love their bit of paradise called Mischief Bay.

great book

I loved this book. I had always read
Debbie Macomber, but this was just as good as hers. I will definitely keep reading yours.

Nice story

I enjoyed the story, nothing spectacular but enjoyable. I think Tanya Eby could have made it more interesting if she had worked at varying the voices of the main characters. I took me quite a while to figure out who was who and in the beginning the narration was so fast I found it difficult to keep track of each of their lives.

Sad

I thought the book was sad. Everyone seemed to find a way to move on after a sad event in the end but nearly the entire book was sad. I did not like that. It was well written but it was not my kind is "slice of life" story.
