He's a wolf without a pack... Graphic novelist, Aidan Harte, writes about the kind of heroes he knows he'll never be. He's returned to the forgotten gold mining town of Chatanika, Alaska, to scatter his father's ashes and close out the bastard's life. He plans to get in and get out without seeing a soul. That is, until things take a deadly turn. She's a raven who's clipped her wings... Raven Maiski's thrilled Old Man Harte is dead. But she's not happy about the return of his son Aidan, her soul mate and enemy who promised never to step foot back in Chatanika. If she doesn't run him out of town fast he'll uncover what she's hidden from him. When word of the miser's death spreads, danger erupts in a hunt for gold that will either lead to redemption... or blood.
this series is believable and well paced. And the characters are developed over the course of the book. REALLY enjoy this series and I love that characters from other books make appearance in these books. they are ALL intertwined if you follow the series. it's interesting.
Aiden is featured in book 2 "HOOKED' and after he shoots his dad in that book, he goes hone to clean up dads affairs only to find that his child hood sweetheart has had his baby, who is now 11 yrs old. Also Lynx and Ava from ' MOOSED UP' are in this book with a baby on the way. And they hunt for gold. it's awesome well laid out book. good listen.
This is the first Tiffinie Helmer book I've read. I've been tempted to read others but most of her books are short-novella length. I like a story that has time to let you know the character and you can sink your teeth into it. That is why I chose Shiver. Love stories based in Alaska, love the history and the wilderness aspect. This story will give you all of the above. Good character development, good storyline based in Alaska. Please we need more of this length novel. Even though your short stories are cute and would have had a great possibility as a longer novel they just don't feed the need of a true reader. We need more. I am will to buy and read them when you write them.
