"Nine Lights over Edinburgh". Plain bad. Annoying narration matched equally annoying story. Unhuman amounts of schmaltz. Skipped some parts toward the end. --
"I Heard Him Exclaim". Real good and cute one. Great narration. --
"Icecapade". Best among the stories even though Robert sounded a bit off inho. --
All in all, a good buy since stories #2 and 3 make up for #1 and 2

All the narrators get 4 stars. They were all solid even if the stories were not.
This was definitely not my favorite holiday anthology.
Mistletoe at Midnight
3 Stars
A story about a second chance with first love. I liked it and thought it was cute.
Nine Lights Over Edinburgh
2 stars
I have to say this story was not very festive. In fact, McBride is an extremely unlikable character. The only saving grace was Tobias.
I Heard Him Exclaim
2.5 stars
A chance meeting that leads to an adorable romance.
Icecapade
2 stars
Noel an ex cat burglar is has a thing for FBI agent Robert Cuff. After one night together he can't seem to shake him. After quitting the business and keeping himself clean for 8 years an unexpected visitor arrives on his doorstep.
It was short and ok. Not big on the romance in this one.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Absolutely. These stories are classy well-written stories. I have Icecapade (last story) and loved it. The others are just as goodWhat other book might you compare His for the Holidays to and why?
I would compare it to a series of books by Andrew Grey (Uncorked & Bottled Up).What about the narrators’s performance did you like?
Very good. Brought the different characters to life!If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Mistletoe at Midnight, LB Greg, 3 stars
This story was full of descriptions that sometimes took me away from the plot and left me feeling covered with Christmas folderol. The set up seemed to set up for me to really enjoy.
Nine Lights Over Edinburgh, Harper Fox, 4.5 stars and my favorite. Narration was perfect!
The story starts out with Detective Inspector McBride who has almost given up on himself. He is screwing up in his personal and professional lives and they come together in an awful way with the kidnapping of his daughter. An Israeli Masada agent who is in Edinburgh to protect a visiting Israeli ambassador falls for McBride during a joint protection situation and helps him secure his daughters release and solve the case that "rights" McBride's career. Great supporting characters too! The resolution of the story gives strong assurances that this is not just a HFN but a true HEA. Of all of the stories, this is the one that should be expanded into a full on novel.
I Heard Him Exclaim, Z.A. Maxfield, 4 stars. Excellent narration.
I love Maxfield's work and this story packs all the angst, protective heart, charm, wit and sexiness that I associate with her work. Just a touch of whimsy to make this almost an over the top Christmas story.
Icecapade, Josh Lanyon, 4 stars. Excellent narration.
Icy cool story told with precision. Both MC's felt true to their characters although the ending seemed to be a given.
Four solid stories for the holidays

Mistletoe at Midnight was great. It was a little confusing going back and forth in the timeline but I loved all the family comments and "Help". Not to mention the story was just a believable holiday family story.
I Heard Him Exclaim was good. Again we have a kid but she isn't the main focus of the story and more of a side character. Also again we have a large family that adds to the comedy and drama of the holiday season. This was in my opinion the most complete story with the most satisfy ending and very enjoyable.
Icecapade, was excellent with great narration and a cute love story that was years in the making. I would really enjoy this a a Hallmark Holiday Movie if they ever decided to take the non-traditional love story route.
