A woman without a past.... After a tragic accident left her with no memory, Kate Alexander struggled to fit in with a husband and world that didn't feel right. She's had no reason to question what friends and family have told her, not until her husband is suddenly killed and she finds a photo of a young girl in his office. A girl who can't be anyone but a daughter Kate didn't know she had.

A man desperate for a reason to live...Ryan Harrison lost his wife in a plane crash five years ago. To cope with the pain of her loss, he dedicated himself to his job and to raising their daughter. Now a successful pharmaceutical executive, Ryan has everything a man could want--money, fame and power--but he'd give it all up in a heartbeat for just one more day with the woman he still loves.

Two lives about to converge.

As Kate begins to dig into a past she doesn't remember, evidence leads her to San Francisco and puts her on the path toward Ryan, a man who sees in her the woman he loved and lost. Kate feels a draw to Ryan, one she can't explain, but is that feeling enough to convince her this is where she's supposed to be? As Ryan and Kate search for answers, they uncover lies long buried, a passion hotter than either expected and a danger that threatens...even now...when the second chance they've both been searching for is finally within reach.

Could have been a 5 star

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

I liked the premise, even though it stretched believability. This could have been a 5 star book if the author paid as much attention to the plot as to the “insatiable needs” of the main characters. Honestly- it got really tiresome. Easily half of the book is overused phrases like “impossible hunger”, "heat arched between them”, “shaking with need”, “raging heat in her center”, “warmth pooling in her abdomen”,”fire careening through her veins”, “fire shot straight to her sex”, etc., ad nauseum.

Good love and mystery

I thoroughly enjoyed this mystery / love story. It was a shame so many people had to die. I kind of got lost in the bodies.

Dumb girl

Just a quick review to say that the story was entertaining enough for me to finish. However, I don't understand why the author had to make the main character so stupid. It was ridiculous that she would stay so confused as if everything that happened to her was all just a big misunderstanding.

Would-be erotic thriller

What would have made Wait for Me better?

Underdeveloped characters and a clunky, cliche-ridden writing style made this book less-than-successful as either a thriller or as a work of female erotica.

Drawn In

I ran across this book unintentionally, but really enjoyed it. Not my usual go-to genre. I am so glad I listened to it though, as I was drawn in from the start. How everyone tied together at the end...wow. I thought the narration was great. I could feel all the emotions from the different characters. I do wish we would have gotten more about how Ryan, Kate, Julie, and Reid adjusted to their new normal....all together as a family. Can't wait to start book 2! Maybe we will hear more about them as it goes into Mitch and Simone's story.

Great Story Okay Narration

Romance Mystery isn't my usual genre and it took until chapter four for the story to spark my interest, but after that between the couple's anger and sexual heat I was excited to get to each next scene. I found myself going back to previous scenes so I could feel the emotions again, and to be sure I hadn't missed anything. And, the mystery kept me in anticipation to the very end. The narrator did an okay job. She was unable to create any voice differential in the characters, but at least when there was a question mark at the end of a sentence there was a question in her voice. This was an Amazon bargain and I’m so glad I took a chance it… Great Read!

I really enjoyed this book

This was a well developed storyline the characters were believable for the most part. I say that because I found Julie wasn’t believable. I could believe her if she were 13 but not a 9 yr old . Aside from that it was a good read!

could have been great

the story was intriguing initially. too many holes tHough and implausible events. police investigation didn't happen from the beginning. a rich man like Ryan could have hired a PI etc. nope.

Very Creative

Story based on a unique and interesting premise. Excellent twists kept me entertained straight through.
Narration is great! Not only does she do female and male voices equally well, she also does a wide range of ages exceptionally well. I highly recommend anything Erin Bennett narrates.
