Publisher's Summary

Sam: I can read women better than any blueprint. I understand their secret desires and insecurities, and I know how to get rid of them once I get off. But all bets are off when Tiel Desai slams into my life. I can't read the gorgeous conservatory-trained violinist, but she's the only one keeping me from shattering by small degrees, and I can't let her go.

Tiel: My past - and New Jersey - are far behind me, and now my life is blissfully full of music: playing, teaching, and lecturing and scouring Boston's underground scene with an annoyingly beautiful, troubled, tattooed architect. I'm defenseless against his rooftop kisses and his deep, demanding voice. I have Sam Walsh stuck in my head like a song on repeat, and I'm happy pretending that history won't catch up with me.

Emotionally Charged, Funny and Uber Sexy!

So far, this is my favorite book in the series. Something about Sam's story and his health issues resonated with me. Sam, the misunderstood playboy meets his other half in Teil in an unlikely place. Both of them.him similar barriers and work to heal each other. At least on the surface.

What I loved most about this story was that I felt the ache in my heart during the climax. I knew it was coming, but the development and the unraveling of their journey gave me tears. Of course there is an HEA, but getting there was the best part.

What can I say about the performance? Lucy Rivers always gives me the feels with. her delivery, pacing and tone and Christian Fox's voice is like melted chocolate. This is one duo I can listen to all day!

I LOVE this series!!!

I love how real this series is. I feel like these characters would be amazing to hang out with in real life. it really doesn't seem like they are fictional, they feel like real people. I love Sam and Tiel, while not my absolute favorites, they are great in their own right. I have read all the current books in the series so it's nice to be able to listen to them while I work or cook now.

if you haven't given this series a chance, please do. Kate is an amazing author and these are great characters with real substance. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

My First Audible and I Loved

What made the experience of listening to Necessary Restorations the most enjoyable?

Christian Fox's voice was swoon worthy. I loved Lucy Rivers voice as well, but oh the feels Christian gave me. I could listen to him read the phone book.

What other book might you compare Necessary Restorations to and why?

None, since this was my first venture into Audibles.

What about Christian Fox and Lucy Rivers ’s performance did you like?

Their story telling was beautiful to hear. Even when they would change their voice from male to female and vice versa it flowed and worked.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

I don't know, but I could get back to you on this.

I was completely charmed!

Would you listen to Necessary Restorations again? Why?

Yes, the two narrators were excellent, and I really enjoyed the story's pacing and the character development for both Tiel and Sam. I have nothing but praise for the audio production and the well executed plot.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Sam. I have a soft spot for OCD and germaphobic characters because I can identify with them 100%.

Which character – as performed by Christian Fox and Lucy Rivers – was your favorite?

Sam. Again because both narrators had great voices for each character but for Sam in particular and also because I liked the way Sam's mind worked.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Embrace your perviness!

Any additional comments?

This was my first novel by Kate Canterbary, and it certainly won't be my last. Now I'm also incredibly curious about Sam's other siblings. Consequently, a complete series read is a must. I'm also putting narrators Christian Fox and Lucy Rivers on my list of MUST-LISTEN narrators.

Heartfelt, endearing read

Tiel and Sam. *sigh* I enjoyed their meet cute. It was different and I was completely captivated. I enjoyed their journey. There were times when I was holding my breath, waiting to see what would happen next. Sam didn't take care of himself very well, but Tiel understood him and he didn't have to hide from her. I liked the way she brought things out in Sam. They weren't supposed to be serious, either. BUT life had a funny way of bringing them together. I enjoyed their story and love these Walsh kids!

Made Me Want To Stop

I fell in love with book 1 of the series. It felt grown up and mature. Book 2 was good as well, but this one let me down. The relationship issues were not addressed and seemed so unreal.

Annoying Hero and Heroine

Is there anything you would change about this book?

This is my "second" listen to this book simply because I am re-listening to the whole series. I love the Walsh Series overall. That's why I'm listening to the series again.I did not a review nor rated that time it simply because I found Tiel and Sam so annoying.this second read, I had to write a review. I thought my annoyance will go away but it actually became more. I listened to it again because there were developments in this book that pertains to the other Walshes.

What could Kate Canterbary have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Tiel and Sam are the most annoying hero and heroine I've met, and not just in the Walsh series. They are so self-centered! They only care about themselves and their own feelings. At least, Sam "grew" up, but goodness gracious, how much more self-centered can Tiel be. It is hard to imagine that she is almost 30 years old.For Tiel to accept that she was also at fault. That she has many faults.

What does Lucy Rivers and Christian Fox bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

They gave all the characters life.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

No. if this book is a standalone movie, I'll not see it. I just find Sam and Tiel so annoying. If it is a series about the Walsh's I will see it but not this book. Again, Sam and Tiel were so annoying. I can use other adjectives but if I do, I might give spoilers.

outstanding<br />I am in love with Ms. Canterbary

I am in love with Ms. Canterbary' s writings. I have listened to the first 3 books and have purchased the entire Walsh series (which h I can't wait to get to)primarily because of the way she developes her characters and the way she uses the English language in turning a phrase in pop culture and history needless to say well researched. All the characters you get a sense of wanting to be in their family or at least a friend like Nick, so again , I am getting ready with a glass of wine and listening to the nezt. I think it's Spiral. Narration perfect with Lucy and so so sexy voice of Christian. THANK YOU KATE!!

Oh Sam

I’m hooked on this series and love Sam and Teil. Of course the narration was fantastic! I think these are my favorite couple yet, but have some more to read. I can’t wait to continue reading the Walsh family men and women, can’t go wrong with these books. Kate Canterbury writes great stuff.
