Publisher's Summary

Even the broken, through love, can find grace...

Secrets never stay hidden. The burden of guilt never lifts from the heart. Born and raised in The Order of David, Sister Phebe knows nothing but cult life. Head of the Sacred Sisters of New Zion, Phebe was groomed from childhood for one purpose: to seduce. Prized as a harlot, as a New Zion whore, Phebe is taken from the doomed cult by Meister, the notorious leader of the Aryan Brotherhood. Taken as his possession. Taken to be the woman who will obey his every sexual demand. Under his heavy hand, Phebe finds herself in a place much worse than she could ever have imagined... with absolutely no one to help. And no glimpse of hope.

Xavier ‘AK’ Deyes is content with his life as Sergeant-At-Arms of the Hades Hangmen. Leader of the infamous ‘Psycho Trio’ and ex-special ops sniper, AK knows how to fight. Experienced in warfare and schooled in military operations, AK is vital to the Hangmen. When his Vice President needs help retrieving his missing sister-in-law, Phebe, from a Klan-funded trafficking ring, AK volunteers to go in. AK remembers the red-head from New Zion. Remembers everything about her from the single time they met - her red hair, blue eyes, and freckled face. But when he finds her, heavily drugged and under Meister’s control, her sorry condition causes him to remember more than the beautiful woman he once tied to a tree. Saving Phebe forces hidden demons from his past to return. A past he can never move on from, no matter how hard he tries.

As AK fights to help Phebe, and in turn she strives to help him, they realize their secret sins will never leave them alone. Kindred broken souls, they realize the only way they can be rid of their ghosts is to face them together and try to find peace. Despair soon turns to hope, and damaged hearts soon start to heal. But when their deep, painful scars resurface, becoming too much to bear, the time comes when they must make a heavy choice: stay forever damned; or together, find grace.

Dark Contemporary Romance that contains explicit sexual situations, violence, disturbingly sensitive and taboo subjects, offensive language and very mature topics. Recommended for age 18 and over.

This series is incredible

Waiting a year for this book to come out on audio, and it is so worth the wait! Tillie Cole continues her Hades Hangmen series with AK's story as he goes in search of Lilah's sister, Phebe. When Phebe is taken at the end of Deep Redemption, it is clear the Hangmen are going to go after her, but they first must find out where she is. With their vast reach and multitudes of skills, these men retrieve the very messed up woman. AK has a definite draw to her, and takes her in to help her adjust to civilization. With insights to each other and disastrous histories to overcome, these two broken souls are able to piece each other back together. Cole has a way of writing a very complex story, investing your heart into each character, so much so when a cameo of one like Flame comes up, a feeling of familiarity immediately comes through. The story is very visual, with the book coming to life as you listen. This captivating listen including substance abuse, rape, human trafficking and PTSD as well as the continuing back story of New Zion is nothing short of amazing, and I can't wait(even if it is another year) for the next book!

The four narrators of this book do an amazing job. I am so happy Douglas Berger comes in with the chapters from Flame's POV, keeping him as we have gotten to know him. Patrick Garrett as AK does a wonderful job, this character has many layers and Garrett is able to give each one the inflection necessary for each one. Phebe is a broken woman with a devastating past, and Emily Cauldwell brings out her feelings to the surface. Aaron Sinn gives a short narration of Asher, hoping to hear more of him, as this character is sure to have an amazing story to go with him.

Beauty through tragedy

This whole series is not for the faint of heart or the sensitive soul. There is extreme violence, rape, sexual abuse of young girls, human trafficking and just about every characters who have suffered almost any emotional trauma that you can imagine. However, this series is about survivors. It is about the strength of the human spirit and how love, true friendship, family and loyalty can bring almost anyone out of the darkness and into the light. It’s about the type of people, who may seem like low-life’s to some people but, have the ability to accept another person as their past has molded them, without judgement. However, no matter how ugly the story may be, the ultimate conclusions are truly beautiful.

Good Series but with some really Dark Subjects.

I decided to write a review after reading all the books instead of writing a review on each because I'd be saying pretty much the same thing for each one. The books are great as are the characters and the writing but some of the subject areas that the whole series are about are so disturbing that they made me almost stop reading the books. Child rape, over long periods of time, done in a cult like religious setting was so graphically described that I just felt it didn't need to be done to the extent it was. I really enjoyed the motorcycle club and all the different characters and how they all fell for the different women who had escaped from the cult. I realize that some reason needed to be included as to why each of the women in the various books in the series had left the cult I just felt that describing some of the "ceremonies" over and over again was just too much.

Smacking my Lips!!!!

Thank you Tillie Cole for giving me the escape I need. This entire series rocks.
AJ’s story didn’t stir me as much as previous books but it far exceeds anything else I’ve listened to recently. What I mean is, even the least of my list of this series is the best of what’s out there. IMHO!
I can’t WAIT to hear how the mighty Viking falls.

Yippee! 👍🏻 👍🏻 TWO THUMBS WAY UP!

This was way too graphic for me

I enjoyed the other books in the series. But this book had too many graphic things going on. I never really liked the way they called their women bitches. I just couldn’t get into the dark part of this book. I had to fast forward through most of that. Beware if you can’t deal with rape and violence and cruelty. This book is not for you. There was to much twisted and awful things going on throughout the book. With not a lot of romance it was way too dark for me

another great connection of 2 lovers<br />

great story , love how anther pair are perfectly matched again. all though I didn't care for some of the narration, voices sounded similar and Viking for example has had the deepest broadest voice (like a Viking) in the series but yet in this book he sounded young n small. very similar to young zayn and ash. The bad guy in this story Meister, didn't sound intimidating or gritty which I think would have made it more convincing of his evilness. But over all great story .

This series keeps getting better and better

I'm a massive fan of this series and love the Hangmen, I read this when it was first released so knew I was going to love this audible version of AK and Phebe and I wasn't wrong as Patrick Garrett, Emily Cauldwell, Douglas Berger & Aaron Sinn all did a fantastic job of narrating a story filled with difficult subject matters (rape, racism, addiction etc).

This like other books in the series is extremely dark and graphic in places, but its serves it purpose.

Can't wait until the next book in the series is released on audible.

Brilliant!

Damnable Grace is book 5 in the Hades Hangmen series. It's dark, harrowing, and heart breaking at times but when the Hangmen love they love hard and they protect their own. A brilliant series!
