Story
The first time I met Ian Kemp in the sparkling blue waters of St. Thomas, I was six years old, and we shared a summer beneath the stars. The second time I met Ian Kemp, he was a shell of the boy I once knew. Turbulent and infuriating, he refused my friendship at every turn. Like me, he was a casualty of life’s cruelty, but we were planets apart. We’d both sought refuge on the island, hoping to find our anchor. Instead, we found each other and managed to reclaim our stars...until we both got swept away.

A few long weeks after being reluctantly ripped from the comforting embrace of her sacred prophet's religious commune - the only life she has ever known - a terrified Delilah is thrust into a world enveloped by evil and swimming in sin. Steadfastly devout in her faith, and retaining the deep belief that her soul is innately tarnished as a branded "Cursed woman of Eve", Delilah is determined to find her way home to her people in The Order and away from the corrupt and damned outlaw motorcycle club - The Hades Hangmen.

Story
I am Caresa Acardi, the Duchessa di Parma. A blue blood of Italy. I was born to marry well. And now the marriage date is set. I am to marry into House Savona. The family that would have been the royals had Italy not abolished the monarchy in 1946. But to the aristocrats of my home, the abolition means nothing at all. The Savonas still hold power where it counts most. I am soon to become Prince Zeno Savona's wife...or at least I was, until I met Achille. And everything changed.

At age 20, Molly Shakespeare knows a lot. She knows Descartes and Kant. She knows academia and Oxford. She knows that the people who love you leave you. She knows how to be alone. But when Molly leaves England's gray skies behind to start a new life at the University of Alabama, she finds that she has a lot to learn - she didn't know a summer could be so hot, she didn't know students could be so intimidating, and she certainly didn't know just how much the folks of Alabama love their football.

But one thing they do have in common is that they're both drawn to sad things. Which means they're drawn to each other. Beyah and Samson agree to stay in the shallow end of a summer fling. What Beyah doesn't realize is that a rip current is coming, and it's about to drag her heart out to sea.

The average song is three and a half minutes long; those three and a half minutes could lead to a slow blink, a glimpse of the past, or catapult the soul into heart-shattering nostalgia. At the height of my career, I had the life I wanted, the life I'd always envisioned. I'd found my tempo, my rhythm. Then I received a phone call that left me off key.

Nate Monson was gorgeous, obnoxiously wealthy, and a player. He was also the person who could destroy my world with a single decision. I walked into that bar looking for him. He saw me. I saw him. The chemistry sizzled between us, but no. I hated Nate Monson. I hated him with everything in me, even though my body did not. It didn't matter. Nothing I wanted mattered. He thought I wanted to get laid. What I wanted was for him to disappear. But first, I had to tell him that he had a daughter.

I don’t want you. You mean nothing to me. I never loved you. I turned my words into swords. And I cut her down. Shoved the blade in and watched her fall. I said I’d never hurt her and I did. Years later I’m faced with all the little lies, the untruths, the false realities, the damage I inflicted when all I wanted was to indulge in my obsession. Lavender Waters is the princess in the tower. Even her name is the thing fairy tales are made of. I used to be the one who saved her. Over and over again.

Publisher's Summary
From the author who brought you A Thousand Boy Kisses comes the new emotional novel, A Wish for Us.
A story of music. A story of healing. A story of love conquering all.
Nineteen-year-old Cromwell Dean is the rising star of electronic dance music. Thousands of people adore him. But no one knows him. No one sees the color of his heart.
Until the girl in the purple dress. She sees through the walls he has built to the empty darkness within.
When Cromwell leaves behind the gray skies of England to study music in the South Carolina heat, the last thing he expects is to see her again. And he certainly doesn’t expect that she’ll stay in his head like a song on repeat.
Bonnie Farraday lives for music. She lets every note into her heart, and she doesn’t understand how someone as talented as Cromwell can avoid doing the same. He’s hiding from his past, and she knows it. She tries to stay away from him, but something keeps calling her back.
Bonnie is the burst of color in Cromwell’s darkness. He’s the beat that makes her heart skip.
But when a shadow falls over Bonnie, it’s up to Cromwell to be her light, in the only way he knows how. He must help her find the lost song in her fragile heart. He must keep her strong with a symphony only he can compose.
A symphony of hope.
A symphony of love.
A symphony of them.

One of my favorites this year
I've been on an ugly cry kick lately and A wish for Us delivered it in spades. The story of Bonnie and Cromwell ripped me to pieces...and Easton - I loved that boy so very very much. I'm pretty sure I cried more than I laughed. From the first page to the last I was invested in their world and was sad when I had to say goodbye. Tillie Cole wrapped it up like no one else can and slowly put me back together again.
The narration was on point...I'm not sure I would have walked away with the same gut wrenching feeling had I chose to read it instead. Angela Moore and Jay Skelton brought this book to life for me. Such a beautiful story!!!

Absolutely the best!
I thought I couldn’t love an audiobook as much as I loved Tillie Cole’s “A Thousand Boy Kisses”, but she has written another story that I will never forget! I much prefer this type of stories from Tillie than the MC books. The heroine is a South Carolina college student. The hero is a famous musician from England. They meet at one of his concerts and he’s not impressed by this pretty American girl, as he’s very jaded. After he’s given a coveted college spot to study under a renown music professor, his roommate turns out to be her twin brother. Soon he finds himself partnered for the year with her. There are twists and turns in this heart rendering story, and I don’t want to give them away. All I can say is BUY this audiobook! Please Tillie, write more of this type of book! Narration was excellent.

3.5 stars
This had the potential to be an astounding and heart gripping 5 stars, but unfortunately, I just didn’t feel the connection between the two main characters. We are repeatedly told that they have some incredible bond, but as a reader I didn’t feel it. The words are there but the emotion is not. It focused on flowery declarations rather than sincerity. I predicted everything that happened in the plot too. However, despite all that, it had novel plot concepts too and there were parts of the book I did find very emotional, and the pacing and writing style was good. There will be many 5 star ratings for this book I’m sure, so don’t let my review put you off.
