Publisher's summary

Lydia Montgomery is a Tramp.

After fleeing a tragic past, Lydia’s determined never to go back to the life she left behind at any price. She lands in Grand Haven, California - a city booming with billion-dollar corporations and tech money - and everything changes.

Armed with the only lesson she learned from her mother, Lydia builds a life of routine, solitude, and success.

Nothing is out of reach when you’re beautiful.

Nearly a decade after her arrival, Lydia's the highest paid escort in the city, and only the most influential people in Grand Haven can get near her. She's a goddess among her clients and out of reach to everyone else. Lydia's created the perfect illusion, and no one will take it from her again.

Until a misunderstanding lands her in the office of the city’s most eligible bachelor.

Talent Ridge is Grand Haven royalty. Despite running in the same circles as Lydia’s clients, he’s scandal-free and on his way to being the most powerful man in the area.

Their chemistry is undeniable, but a relationship has the potential to destroy everything they’ve worked for. Especially when Lydia is running from her past, and Talent is running toward a future she can never be a part of.

Beauty and money can’t save them this time.

Are Lydia and Talent willing to give it all up for each other, or will their differences cost too much?

Brilliantly Enthralling! Amazing Story & Listen🎧

Wow, this book just blew me away, the story captivated both my attention and my heart from start to end. Mary Elizabeth is a gifted author, I enjoy her writing style, she creates characters and storylines that are realistic, easy to relate to and connect with. My heart went out to Lydia Montgomery, her upbringing and childhood had left her beautifully broken, but she is a survivor, living life in a way she knows how and making it work for her. She does not want to fall in the same trap as her mother, she wants independence and to stay under the radar. Yet her life parallels her mothers in some ways, especially when it comes to sex trade, except Lydia is a high end escort with exclusive clientele, one of the most sought after. Her boss, Inez, asks a favor of her, to see a new client Talent Ridge, Inez has her reasons for asking Lydia, who is her best girl, Lydia agrees meet Talent in his office, neither one knew what was about to happen. Talent, a lawyer, thought she was there for a consultation, Lydia assumed he knew who she was and he was just role playing. The chemistry between them was instant and It turns out to be one hot tryst but when it was over both are confused to why she was there. She leaves all flustered, he has no idea what hit him and it turns out neither one can get the other out of their mind. Talent tracks her down thru Inez and he is relentless with trying to see her again. The two come from completely different worlds, he comes from money, the same money most of her clients come from. He is aware of what she does and does not care, but Lydia does, plus she never allows any one to get to close to her, no one by Inez knows who she really is and where she came from. But it was inevitable and they could only deny each other for so long. I loved how everything played out in this book, the story is both beautifully and cleverly plotted with plenty of drama, angst, heartfelt emotions, steamy scening and romance, as well as some twists that you do not see coming. Turns out Lydia was not the only one with secrets and skeletons in the closet. Mary Elizabeth, thank you for another awesome story & emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧And for the wonderful narration, Stella Hunter is a talented narrator and versatile voice artist. She brings these characters to life, performing the voices for both the male and female characters, giving each their own distinct sound making it easy to follow along and tell who is who. She does an awesome job portraying the characters, taking each role and making it her own while sounding believable and just as I picture the character to sound. She set the perfect tone for the story, captured all of the characters emotions and projected them into her performance. She is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another awesome listen🎧

Amazing! I loved this story!

Lydia is a very expensive, very exclusive escort with a tragic past. She is all business. The last thing she is interested in is love, or a relationship. Talent Ridge is a wealthy, well regarded, powerful attorney who can afford anything, except scandal. When wires get crossed, and Lydia gets sent to Talent’s office for an afternoon delight, sparks fly setting the stage for a scandal of epic proportions! Filled with twists and turns, and an ending that I did not see coming, this story grabbed my interest from the very beginning and did not let go. Enhanced by excellent narration, I was mesmerized and completely enthralled! I was also completely invested. I wanted these two together. I wanted their happy ending. I wanted to hurt anyone that threatened their happiness. I was completely immersed in this story and delighted to find out that Talent had his secrets too, though I won’t spoil the fun by telling. I loved every minute and I can’t wait for the second book, also a stand alone, to come out in audio!

Rags to riches and love & an odd fairy godmother

Tramp was an interesting tale of young woman who made a life for herself in the world's oldest profession. By doing so, she removed herself from a world of poverty, substance abuse, and misery, and forged her own path, making her own decisions. She could do so in part, undoubtedly, because her service was run by a fellow independently-minded female, and in this Tramp is as much about female empowerment as it is a fairytale love story. I enjoyed the story, but I don't feel an overwhelming need to follow it up with Harlot (whose protagonist is a secondary character in Tramp). I requested and received a copy of this audiobook from the author and am voluntarily leaving this unedited review.

SO FREAKING GOOD

Wow, I was captivated by this whole story. The love these two share gives me hope. Not only is this a romance but also a journey to self love. Lydia had a hard time believing there would be something more for her and after that first encounter with talent, everything changed. Their story was beautiful and different!🤍I loved every second of this book, can’t wait to read their next book!

Wow! I Loved it!

This was my first Mary Elizabeth’s book, and won't be my last! This is the first book in the Hush Series. Wow! I loved it! Lydia and Talent’s story is original, intricate and enthralling! Impossible to put it down. They are opposites attract, but they are perfect together. Their chemistry is like fire! Lydia, an escort, is such a wonderful character, strong, beautiful, smart, and independent. Talent, a lawyer, is handsome, powerful, rich, enigmatic, caring, and protective. The Ridge family, and the Ridge’s brothers are intriguing. The story has it all: fantastic characters, and strong chemistry, with mystery, secrets, danger, suspense, and twists and turns. The world building is very interesting, and intriguing. I need more! Looking forward to listen to Harlot, Wilder’s story, the next book in the Series. Stella Hunter did a fantastic job with the narration. I enjoyed it, and I HIGHLY recommend it. I was given a free review copy of the audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Enjoyed

This was my first story by Mary Elizabeth. I enjoyed listening to the story. It has a nice easy flow and loved to see the journey of friendship between Talent and Lydia. I love going into a story blind so do not want to give spoilers. I always enjoy listening to Stella. The story came alive from the first page until the end.
