Publisher's summary

Max Riley is the man of your dreams. Or at least he will be, for a price.

As his alter-ego Mister Romance, Max is a drop-dead gorgeous escort who makes romantic fantasies come to life. No sex, just swoon-worthy dates to die for, and the cream of New York's socialites can't get enough. Whether they want a dominating billionaire, bad boy with a heart of gold, hot geek, sexy biker, or best friend who loves them from afar, Max can make it all happen, but he's careful to keep his real identity a secret.

Enter investigative journalist Eden Tate. Having caught wind of the urban legend of Mister Romance, Eden is determined to publish a scathing expose on Max and his ability to swindle lonely society women out of their fortunes.

Desperate to protect his anonymity and his clients, Max challenges Eden to give him three dates. If she doesn't fall in love with him, she can run her story with his blessing. If she succumbs to his charms, the story dies. Cynical Eden has no doubt she can resist his fake romance personas, but when the real Max admits he's falling for her, she has to decide if the professional liar is telling the truth, or if the passionate man with the mysterious past is just one more character designed to con her out of her career-making story.

Contains mature themes.

Incredible Romance

This was everything I needed in a romance. Comedy, depth of characters, amazing (Capitol A for AMAZING) narration-my favorite Andi Arendt ever. Leisa Rayven is one of my new favorites! I think this is one of my favorites of the last two years, one that I’ll remember. Just light, flirty and fun. Plenty of steam. Don’t wait! Just press purchase lol.

Ten Stars!

Andi Arndt does it again in her narrative.
And this story truly shows how romance really does exist... just listen and you'll feel the same!!
Max is the man for all seasons... and if he knocked on my door I'd fall over. I don't need to see him first to know just by listening to him that I'd be head over heals by his voice alone. Or by the description.
Eden is a reporter, who learns about a man who will give wealthy women the date of their dreams. No sex. Just romance.
Now that Max finds out about Eden, he makes it his challenge to get her to not write about him.
The characters that Max morphs into are amazing... as are his multitude of talents.
Interwoven in this delightful tale are Eden's sister, her Grandmother and pain of a boss, oh, and a computer hacker of a co-worker of a friend... Max's friends, his " dates " and a father, mother and brother.
I can't wait for more from Leisa!!!

Loved!!

I loved this book. The scenario is a tad far fetched, but who cares! The book has great narration, isnt boring, and has a good message.

Great insightful story. Loved this series even though I read it out of order it still is great. I laughed and cried as I listened to these two heroines figure out their lives.

Out of the Ordinary and very appealing

I listen to romance among a variety of genres and though I really enjoy them, in many ways they follow the same few trajectories. Mister Romance cracks that mold and gives us a story with really interesting, multifaceted characters and relationships, and even a pet duck who also has a personality. (This is my second pet duck in a romance novel. Debbie the boy duck appears in Kiwi Rules by Rosalind James, whose New Zealand romances are wonderful) This is a story about people. It's not dangerous and what sadness there is is not overly dramatized or "devastating", a very overused word. The reveal of the mystery of Mr. Romance sets the story rolling and I had a hard time stopping to sleep. Andi Arndt is one of my favorite narrators; I'd listen to her read just about anything and she does a great job here as usual.
My only personal complaint is that there is a lot of drinking which can be a trigger for some.
I recommend this book to listeners who welcome a little of the unexpected with their romance. Enjoy!

So sweet it made my teeth hurt - in a good way!

I go through more than 100 romance books a year and only a handful of them make my heart actually flip-flop in my chest. I swear, this book made my heart stutter with the romance and sweetness of it in a way I haven't experienced. Usually I feel that lovely sensation in my chest, but it showed up even in my jaw/mouth with this book!

I've started book 2 already and am having a similar reaction to that one so far. I've definitely stumbled upon an author I'm going to audio-binge on and a series I will likely keep downloaded for repeat plays.

I wish there wasn't the swearing, but the concept of this book is brilliant, and the narration with Andi was amazing as usual. it's beautiful how Mister Romance tries to make the women feel seen and cherished. much need IRL.

should be a movie !!!!

Such a great book and storyline BUT it was hard for me to like Eden for a while because she was TOO closed off and cynical. I get it you were hurt but sheesh. I would love if this was a movie, I’d watch it time and time again!!!!
