Just one taste is never enough….

It was meant to be a one-night stand. One night of passion. Scorching-hot. Then Beth Cantrell and Eric Donovan were supposed to go their separate ways. That’s the only reason he lied about his name, telling her he was really his wild younger brother. Hiding his identity as the conservative Donovan. The "good" one.

But passion has its own logic, and Eric finds he can’t forget the sable-haired beauty with whom he shared a night of love. When Beth discovers that Eric has lied, however, she knows he can’t be trusted. Her mind tells her to forget the blue-eyed charmer. If only every fiber of her being didn’t burn to call him back.

What made the experience of listening to Real Men Will the most enjoyable?

The sex was the hottest of the series while still being believable. We also got to know what makes Eric--the darkest Donovan--tick.

Victoria Dahl has written an excellent story that combines messy family dynamics, hot steamy times and the fall out from poor communication. Don't want to give any spoilers here but it is well worth the credit. I enjoyed the characters and the way Dahl pulled the story together. She does a great job capturing the kind of zany people that work in the food and beverage industry- she must have waited tables, slung drinks or worked a hotline before.

Ah, Lauren Fortgang! She's excellent(consistently!) and has been able to capture the sensuality in a man's voice( which can be no small trick) and the vulnerability of our very feminine heroine. I wish more literary companies would send my fav books her way- I've had to pan a few this week due to weak narrators.

Excellent work!

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

No, there are other good books out there to listen to by Victoria Dahl. The story dragged and was depressing and irritating more than uplifting.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

The least interesting part was the tension between the two brothers, Eric and Jamie. I didn't really like either one of them. I think they both needed intense therapy.

Could you see Real Men Will being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

No, not at all. Not even a Lifetime movie.

Any additional comments?

The narrator does a good job, but in this particular book, it wasn't good enough to hold my interest.

Not her best work

I would classify this is a modern romance. A little more straight forward and graphic than a traditional romance novel. Interesting enough to listen to with half an ear while doing chores, but certainly not riveting. Pleasant, I'd say, as an easy diversion. The narrator did a good job with the characters, however I found her tendency to speak incredibly fast through the middle of long sentences a little distracting. At first I just marveled at her auctioneer-esque ability, but by the end I was just mildly annoyed by it. Overall, it basically delivers what it promises.

Ain't Your Momma's Historical Regency Romance!

okay so here's the thing this the heroine is a woman with a mental maturity of a teen.
I can understand and even empathize with a lot of her thoughts but seriously.... this girl is so caught up in her catastrophic thoughts and the need for approval that she drives me crazy!!!

Jaime is a donkeys rear end and Eric ...stubborn but has many communication bad luck. I feel kinda bad for him.

loved the narrator... she's very good

the heroine drives me crazy!!!!
