Publisher's Summary

While performing the greatest love story of all time, they discovered one of their own....

Cassie Taylor was just another acting student with big dreams at her prestigious performing arts college - then she met Ethan Holt. She was the good girl actress. He was the bad boy on campus. But one fated casting choice for Romeo and Juliet changed it all. Like the characters they were playing on stage, Cassie and Ethan's epic romance seemed destined. Until it ended in tragedy when he shattered her heart. Now they've made it to Broadway where they're reunited as romantic leads once again - and their passionate scenes force them they're forced to confront the heartbreaking lows and pulsepounding highs of their intense college affair. For Ethan, losing Cassie was his biggest regret - and he's determined to redeem himself. But for Cassie, even though Ethan was her first and only great love, he hurt her too much to ever be trusted again. The trouble is, working with him again reminds her that people who rub each other the wrong way often make the best sparks. And when it comes to love, sometimes it's the things that aren't good for us that are the most irresistible. Don't miss the intoxicating romance beloved by over two million fans online - a story that'll captivate you and hold you breathless until the final tick.

ROMANCE LOVERS...DON'T MISS THIS BEAUTIFUL TRAGEDY

This beautiful and tragic love story is told in flashbacks and present day action from Broadway where Ethan and Cassie reunite as successful actors with a bitter history between them. They're rehearsing for the same play.... a play they once performed at College but now sadly the dynamics between them are very different because love has been overshadowed by pain, heartache, hurtful memories, remorse, anger and regrets but somehow Romeo and Juliet must go on.

They first met at The Grove a Performing Arts Academy, Ethan was gorgeous, moody, damaged and insecure and Cassie was an easy-going 19 yr old giddy virgin who just wanted to be liked by everyone..... especially Ethan. They both fought the chemistry and attraction until the bitter end but for different reasons however, the pull towards each other was too strong to overcome..... but somewhere along the way it went very very wrong.

Passionate, sweet, tortuous, romantic, heartbreaking and Ethan's email to Cassie at the end was beautiful, just beautiful. However, this is part 1 of Starcrossed and so has a cliffhanger/to be continued ending which has me counting the days until May (yes, I really should get a life!).

Worth a credit? Virtually a non stop listen that caught and kept me in it's emotional and romantic web and I'm still there reliving the beginning and then the final chapters. So YES creditworthy or a buy. Great narration and told entirely from Cassie's POV.

Wow, just wow!!

These characters had perfect chemistry. Hotter than hot. I loved every minute of this book and the narration was spot on. Full of the emotion of the story. Counting the minutes for the sequel, Broken Juliet.

Whoa so much angst.

If you like a story full of angst and heartbreak then dive right into this one. The story does not conclude at the end of this book so I still need to find out if they get a happily ever after.

Book 2?

Don't know if I can read book 2. Were they ever happy? Both the present and the past seem miserable. Wish there was a little more resolution in book 1 it just seemed 90% was the same scene. Let's hope book 2 moves a little faster.

Very emotional Romance with lots of drama!

The story was very well written. It goes back and forth between past and present. It was fairly easy to keep up. There is so much angst and drama! I really liked Ethan even with all his broodiness. Cassie was not as captivating to me. She is so forward, pushy, and really did not behave like she should. She is supposed to be innocent and inexperienced yet she becomes bold and confident when she moves away to school. IMO, it's a big leap in personality.

Narration was excellent and brought the story to life.

I was surprised with the cliffhanger but there was a bittersweetness to the way this book wraps up. I'll probably get the next book because I want to see how their love story concludes. But it better not resemble Romeo and Juliet because I hate tragic stories!

It Will Suck You In From The 1st Sentence

It was shockingly a really well written and organized listen. It was hot in a lack of sex way. The love story was so strained but sweet, hot , funny and strong. I couldn't stop listening to it . I finished in one day. I immediately bought Broken Juliet and hope it is as great as this one. Give it a try. You won't regret it.

Loved the characters and Andi Arndt!

Loved this story! Andi Arndt is, without a doubt, one of my favorite narrators. She breathes so much life into these characters that I feel like I'm living their lives. Impatiently waiting for book 2!

AUDIOBOOK REVIEW: 5 STARS

Bad Romeo’s audiobook was A.M.A.Z.I.N.G.! Andi Arndt did an amazing job with the narration. Her voice fits perfectly to Cassie’s personality, it’s soft, gentle and sexy. Her tone of voice slightly changed between the past and the present narrations, and I totally loved that. Her voice for Ethan was not exactly how I imagined him talking, but the performance was flawless.

My love for this audiobook wasn't the love-at-first-chapter that I’m used to. In fact, my rating was 4 stars until I listened to the ending. The last 30 minutes of the audio were WOW! The best ending ever! It’s a cliffhanger, but it isnt the angsty kinda cliffhanger that leave you with a broken heart, but the total opposite. I totally LOVED it!

Despite I loved the ending with all my heart, I didn't like the constant change from the past and the future, but it surely helped to know how their relationship started. I was expecting to read why Ethan left Cassie three years ago, but that didn't happen in this book - Thank God I am starting Broken Juliet right after I finish writing this review -, and despite they saying they loved each other, I didn’t see love until the very end of the book. For me, their relationship was all physical, it as lust, lust and more lust. Don’t get me wrong, I totally enjoyed the book, the sex scenes are wayyyyy too HOT! Reading the inexperienced (but horny) Cassie Vs. the experienced one (and hornier) was great, because she changed so much, some things for the better and some things not so much. On the other hand there was Ethan, and this was kinda frustrating to me, because I loved him and hated him at the same time. OK now, I love him, like crazy, but when I was listening to this audiobook it was a rollercoaster. He was a badass, bastard, jackass, jerk, idjit -the list can go on and on and on - in the past and a freaking pussy in the present, ugh, frustrating, but I liked his both sides.

I’m starting Broken Juliet right now and I hope the best for both of them, because that crazy love/lust of Cassie and Ethan is going to end up with them, and with me ;)

100% recommended.

Why "Romeo and Juliet!?

This story has almost nothing to do with "Romeo and Juliet." The heroine is just a horny and stupid smoker. Even a wonderful narrator like Ms. Arndt cannot give any depth to something as shallow and empty as this book. I don't care what happens to this couple in the sequel. I have no more time or money to waste on this series.

two strikes

Any additional comments?

Two strikes: firstly it is initially quite hard to get into this book as an audiobook as it zips back and forth in time, but it is written with (just) enough skill that I managed to get over that and got into the story and was helped by the pretty good narration. The 2nd strike though really pissed me off. In the English version the book just ends abruptly without completing the story. The 2nd book: Broken Juliet is not available as an audiobook. Maybe it has not been recorded yet, but the German translation has both books in one. To not complete the story is disingenuous and disrespectful to the reader by asking them to cough up again to hear the whole story. While I would like to complete the book I will not be doing so as to pay another £4.99 for the kindle read or possibly in the future another £19 for the audio version is playing the publisher's profit led game. Shame on the author for playing along too.

Blown away!

This is without a doubt the most grippingly emotional tale I have had the pleasure of listening to. I found myself counting the minutes til my kids were asleep so that I could listen to more! The characters are so real and so hot.... My husband's very grateful! This author spins a fine take, and now I am left hanging until the next release!!!

amazing

The audiobook: the narrator was like listening to a symphony - just so beautiful on the ears.

The book: I'd heard a lot about this book from friends and where I usually say I'm going to pick up a book, and don't, I knew I had to with this one - and boy, was I glad I did. So incredibly well written, it went beyond my expectations for any book. character development was brilliant, the story was so good (I want to out the f word to emphasis my point, but Amazon won't let me) and just a beautiful and unique love story.

I'm going to admit, I'm frustrated by the end but I can not wait for Bad Juliet!

I highly 5 star recommend this - it's a must in audiobook - for me it was the perfect amount of broken with love that could be written. Lyrically stunning.
