Worth your time if you want to eliminate awkward silences

This audible is short and succinct. It tells you what you need to do to become better at banter. It is easy to listen to and I feel much more confident about going to talk to vendors on a conference floor. The strategies the author provides are easy to remember and has reduced my anxiety when it comes to approaching people at mixers and networking events.

I Highly Recommend this book

I really learned A LOT about great [and bad] conversations. There's so much material in this book, you can take bites of it and have plenty to practice with! My thoughts, by the last chapter, were that this should be a required life-course, hahaha. Excellent.

Missing link to other conversation books

This book is short and sweet. The author connects the dots between many techniques that I have heard about having good conversation. His ideas are practical and easy to start while his examples of successful and unsuccessful attempt gave me several, “ah ha” and “awh shoot” moments. I feel more self aware with a guide to improve.

Best book on conversation hands down. Impeccable.

A clear analysis of conversation using tools from improv that make the two inexorably analogous.

Great for the socially awkward

If you're socially gifted this may not be super helpful. A lot of it is basic tips for avoiding small talk with a few useful exercises for training your wit.

If you think of yourself as an introvert or socially awkward, however, this will be incredibly useful.

Exactly what I was looking for

As someone who's have social anxiety through most of my life, I´ve listened to A LOT of conversation/talk/socialization self-help books, I found this one really concise and accionable. Don't be afraid about the author trying to shoehorn in jokes because this is inspired by improv comedy techniques, the information is straightforward without being dry. It even made me curious about studying improv techniques more in dept to help me out with my socialization.
