I am just totally surprised at just how great this book is.It is based on the theory that if you can efficiently manage your brain chemistry, you can be free of stress, depression, ADD etc etc.The motivation behind over-working at work or at gyms by individuals have now come to light - the secret reason is ENDORPHINS. I work-out a lot and I have to admit the main reason I do it is because of the ENDORPHIN high and the feeling that go along with it. Fat burning, alone would not have kept me motivated. I have not seen a better book connecting brain functions with health and diet. A very complex process is explained in a wonderfully simple and understandable manner. John also goes on to make reccomendations on diet and exercise.
