Story
Common sense tells us that to lose weight, we must eat less and exercise more. But somehow we get stalled. We start on a weight-loss program with good intentions but cannot stay on track. Neither the countless fad diets, nor the annual spending of $50 billion on weight loss helps us feel better or lose weight. Too many of us are in a cycle of shame and guilt. We spend countless hours worrying about what we ate or if we exercised enough, blaming ourselves for actions that we can't undo.

Story
It's not you; it's your schedule. Does it sound like magic? It's not. We've all heard of circadian rhythms - those biological processes that give us jet lag and make us night owls or early birds. But few of us know just how profoundly these diurnal patterns affect our overall health. Bad habits - like skipping meals, squeezing in workouts, working late into the night and then trying to catch up on sleep during the weekend - disrupt our natural cycles. A growing body of research on chronobiology reveals just how sensitive the human body is to these rhythms all the way down to the genetic level.

Just what I needed
Really loved this book. The timing couldn't have been better. I didn't realize how these 10 principles of a life in balance were a big part of why I was feeling so bad and disconnected. I'm on my second time listening. For people who don't know much about Ayurveda, she makes it simple.
The narrater was good, but when she say's words starting with "sh" she whistles. It was a bit distracting. Also the book skipped a few times which was a first with my audible listening. One last minor thing was the many times the author used the word "Dude".
Of course this won't deter me from listening to this book again. It truly is a gift! Thank you Cate for writing this.

Great book!
The book is amazing with basic principles. The pronunciation of Sanskrit words requires some work. I can understand it takes an effort but for respect of language and the very essence to teach others the right pronunciation is critical.

Great book full of useful information
This is a truly informative book full of useful information. I’m looking forward to improving the good habits I had, and trying out the ones I don’t have yet.
The narrator is clear and easily understood. This who are sensitive to certain times and noises may have trouble with some of her reading though. She has a bit of a high pitched whistle on “sh” sounds sometimes. Example: works like diction or assurance.
Overall, great book. I’ll be listening to this again.
