This book motivated me to push beyond my normal self, but after reflecting on it for a while I second guess that this is a good idea. I like my normal self, the one who connects with people in a sincere way without thinking of my own (or their) potential financial profit benefits from our relationship. In this sense, perhaps pushing beyond my normal self is not such a great idea. There are many nuggets in this fast-paced and fun book. And I don't fault the author her own success at all, while also believing that she has sincere relationships too! It's just something to think about - will the drive to succeed also drive out some of the parts of my own personality that I value.
