Why was this just several hours of clickbait?

Let me save you the trouble: if you’re good at your hobby, monetize it.

Another story of a rich trust fund kid whose parents supported their multiple career changes and multiple overseas moves writing a book telling people that just because we have no upward mobility, and just bc we need to work for a living is no reason to be poor and to work for a living.

Just monetize your hobby, DUHH!!1!

Guys, this book is trash. The message is garbage. You’re going to be fine, we’re all gonna be fine. Peace and love.

Brilliantly practical with inspirational stories

Most business books are either so practical they're boring, or so inspirational they're fluffy. Cathy manages to bring in just enough of both to get you going with practical steps, helpfully summed up at the end of each chapter. She spends each chapter thoughtfully presenting the inspirational stories from her podcast guests and weaving that into practical steps the listener/reader can take to implement similar things in their life.

The way she presents and builds on each concept reminds me a lot of Mel Robbins' Audible original books, but instead of one interview per chapter, Cathy has many different perspectives to pull from. If you like Robbins' originals you'll like this book too.

Definitely one of the best business books I've ever read-- I'm five years into owning my own business and I'm re-reading this a second time already because I got so much out of it the first time. However, the way Cathy takes complicated topics and breaks them down, I'm also excited to send this book to some of my friends who have never even thought about working for themselves before, because I know this book can help them too.

Cathy is a Rockstar!

The essence of this book is that we are valuable and unique & the world needs our gifts!

I appreciated the balance of inspirational ideas and practical tips of how to up-level a side hustle into a purposeful & abundant life. Great mix of personal experience, and excerpts from other successful leaders.

Also, great gift idea for a friend who needs a little push towards manifesting something awesome!

I'll listen to it again, and next time I'll take some notes and step into action.

A blaze of true-life wisdom

Most of us expect life to go in a straight line, as we plan it. But when the outcome isn't what we expect, and we get caught up in day-jobs that we do not particularly love, we ask ourselves: "Why we are here?" "Why are we stuck?"

Cathy opened my eyes to a new form of living in which we are richer not because we make more money, but because we are happier. To me, this book is not about quitting, but about finding inside what drives you to keep going and excel at leading a fuller and more meaningful life.

Thank you, Cathy!

90% Quoting Popular Podcasts and Others Books / Don’t Waste Your Time

I’m not going to lie, I mainly bought this audiobook because of it’s beautiful cover. (I’m a graphic designer so these things always catch my eye) I can’t believe I was fooled into buying this audiobook. This audiobook is a glorified paraphraser of popular podcasts and top selling books. This book is pretty much 90% quoting other published works, 5% of outdated business advice, and 5% talking about her own business success that you can’t relate to. Save your time, Dave your money and just skip this book. If you already listen to popular podcasts and/or top selling books in the genre then this will be déjà vu. I guess anyone can get a book deal these days if they have money.

Soul to Soul

When I began listening to this book, I felt as though Cathy and I sat and talked for a while. It motivated me to go back and complete a book I began writing 2 months ago. This was very inspiring and connecting. I feel a sense of renewal and excitement. This is excellent reading if you need inspiration to start new or pick up on abandoned projects. This book is awesome. Hope to read more from the author in the future.
