Publisher's Summary

“You never truly value something until you've lost it.”

Kei Valancia is a feisty young werewolf and a master fighter. She has traveled to places and has trained weak packs to fight rogue attacks. Now, she's in the Red Moon Pack to help them prepare for the war looming on their borders. A girl and a newcomer, her arrival is met with raised eyebrows. Yet Kei has some secrets that nobody knows.

Ryker Dare, the Alpha King, has lived for years, has seen many wars, and has spilled blood with his own hands. Yet out of all those, he is still yet to meet his mate. Upon knowing the attacks on his neighboring packs, he takes the opportunity to help them ward off enemies. Lo and behold, he meets Kei Valancia. Both of them will be in for a lot of surprises as the two of them get closer. Kei will meet the person who will challenge her every move, and Ryker will learn a new word: no!

But both of them know that they are stuck together through thick and thin. And with a fight just around the corner, they have nothing but to trust each other and open up their harbored feelings.

Who is Kei Valancia, a girl from out of nowhere? What happens when Ryker meets Kei? And how will the secret affect the blooming relationship between them? Are you ready for a story that is one revelation after another? This E. Marie's story is a recommended listen.

literally captivated me

This book is extraordinary!!! I Loved Fighting Blind!  such a unique conceptualization, one which I'm sure many wouldn't have come up with. And as many writers know, getting an idea is one thing and writing is another. Kei has pushed those boundaries out of the way effectively and has written a story beyond contrast. They bounce back to each other in the way which intrigues the Reader and gives a reason to come back for more. the strong will, courage and hard hardheadedness of Kei is something to learn from even if you have been thrown to the bottom of the pit, you can just bounce back, fighting everything comes on your way and can win while Ryker gives us passion, compassion and teach us to be patient, for the things you deserve will come to you with time and it's a somewhat a lesson we all need to learn.  The courage that is presented here is one everyone should aspire to achieve.

Terrible Narrator

The story is stupid but is made unbearable by the horrible narrator. I will never listen to another book by either.

Looking Forward to What Happen Next...

A story premise new to me and one I thoroughly enjoyed. With strong characters and a cliff hanger ending... I can't wait to listen to the next book! Narration was good... I can't put my finger on why it wasn't brilliant...

less than ideal.

struggled to finish, not sure why I bothered. the story line bordered on cliche, the relationship between the two key characters didnt quite do it for me. the performance of the voice actor was the cinch in me not enjoying the novel, her female portrayal came off as a young boy, her male portrayal came off as an old man. it wasn't great.
