THIS IS NOT CHRISTIAN FICTION

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

I was disappointed in the story because I thought I was purchasing a Christian Fiction book. There is close to no characters that are living out the christian faith except for how the town pulls together to help those on need. But even this doesn't reference God, ... just the neighborly thing that goes on in small towns. There is a token mention of Jesus (Christmas pageant)but that is about it. My biggest complaint was the main characters sex outside of marriage, like it was no biggy. I am by no means a prude about sexuality I just didn't expect to be treated casually in a christian fiction book. The story line was a little to predictable for my taste.

Would you recommend Bring Me Home For Christmas to your friends? Why or why not?

I would not recommend it because of the reasons I mentioned

Good Story-Narrator kills me

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

I've listened to this narrator before in the Fine Art of Insincerity...I'm so sorry...but her voice, which drops off at the end of every sentence was so distracting that I promised myself to avoid books that she narrates. But I forgot...I'm sure she's a wonderful narrator since she has tons of books to her credit, but I find myself annoyed and not focusing on the story when she's reading...I will remember next time.

How could the performance have been better?

A different narrator would be stellar<br/>

As always a sweet and loving story in Virgin River

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Always, I always look forward to another chapter to the Virgin River family. I started with the first and have enjoyed everyone ot the following stories since the beginning.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Bring Me Home For Christmas?

When Rebecca becomes part of the town in everyway.

Have you listened to any of Therese Plummer’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

As always an excellent performance. It always amazes me how a person can sound like the opposite sex without a flaw.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No way would I be able to sit all the way through the recording, unless I didn't do anything else.

Any additional comments?

I love Virgin River.

I enjoyed the resolving of a long 'lost' love coming back together.

Sherrly Wood's Chesapeake Shores series 'An O'Brien's Family Christmas'. It is another 'lost love' story where the couple is reunited and things go well for them.

Have you listened to any of Therese Plummer???s other performances before? How does this one compare?

She is getting better as a reader of the stories.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The moment that was moving to me was when Beca saw that Denny had stayed with her all night at the hospital.

A story to curl up with on a snowy day!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

These are always easy listening. Robyn Carr delivers another enjoyable story about the crew from Virgin River. The characters seem like old friends. Virgin River would be an ideal place to live - must be why the stories are comfortable reads.

Love Virgin River...tired of this plot line.

If you love Robyn Carr's writing you will love this book also. I have read everyone in the Virgin River series but it grows weary for me. Just too predicable. T. Plummer is great as always. Love her as a narrator.
