Publisher's summary

A widowed artist. An old crush. One summer to get her life back.

Ivy Marin’s life implodes after discovering that her late husband had spent their life savings on a beach house. Strapped for cash as an art teacher and with nowhere to go, Ivy and her recently jilted sister head to Summer Beach to recreate their lives. If only renovating a historical home didn’t unveil a host of hidden secrets in the beachside community - and the mayor wasn’t her former high school crush.

Bennett Dylan led a campaign against Ivy’s late husband to block the rezoning of the beach house land for a high-rise resort. Although it’s been 10 years since his wife’s death, Bennett is avoiding the pain of loving - and possibly losing - another woman. And then, the FBI shows up.... Ivy’s demands for a zoning variance for a bed-and-breakfast couldn’t come at a worse time for him.

Despite distractions, Ivy has one summer to sway the town to salvage her livelihood and the new life in Summer Beach she’s come to love.

With spellbinding intrigue and poignant self-discovery, Seabreeze Inn is a sweet summer beach read. If you like sun-soaked beach sagas you can lose yourself in, Seabreeze Inn and Summer Beach’s fascinating characters are for you. Start your vacation in Summer Beach now. (Binge away; the trilogy of Summer Beach is now complete.)

Predictable

It was ok intriguing at times but got predictable and boring once you got past the middle.

Good Summer Read

I was looking for an easy summer read and I found the perfect one! Loved the characters and story. It’s not a deep, twisted storyline, but I did find myself wanting to get back to reading it. Looking forward to books two and three!

Really good story

I enjoyed listening to this book. It had a really great family aspect and great history. It was a good read about finding yourself again after a loss and realizing people aren't always who we think they are.

Lots of secrets coming to life, both personally and with the house she now owns for Ivy. But, she's determined to get through with her head held high and with kindness. She has some work to do if she wants to repair the image her late husband left behind for her to clean up in Summer Beach.

Really good women's fiction with a touch of romance to it.

I enjoyed this narrator, she did a great job bringing the characters and story to life.

GREAT READ!

The only fault I thought I had found with thus book is that it ended! I am delighted to see that I have stumbled into a series!
Perfect combination of history, modern day and back drops of love stories. Far from a romance novel, this book brings reader back to the horrors of an earlier time, when people were forced to run for their lives, protecting their secrets with their lives...

Waiting for next book...

It was a great start and I love the whole restore and find of VALUABLE ART plus more hidden away. I have bought book 2 and HOPE it adhears to the art again. BECAUSE I know that those paintings would be worth millions or more each. She did the right thing except...I will research.. The last few chapters of things line worrying about making a profit from the website. Or the town loosing homes in a fire.. Then the respect..I wanted to scream! She found paintings worth ( more than any artist ever knows)..she didn't have to turn them in. She found them herself.. One or more of the painting a sold we're probably worth enough to buy the whole town.. let alone replace homes lost and help the community.. Surely she would have gotten something in writing after turning them over, because she didn't still them...HItler did..She deserves a small % of each..Wealthy art work is unbelievable and the 1% afford and buy it. But when a painting coat as much as... helping millions of kids to get health care or preschool... It is a bit much... HOpefully this will follow up!!

A Fun listen

Loved the story. Narrator is great. I’ve listened to the first four but somehow missed reviewing this one. The Christmas one was my least favorite. I’m starting seabreeze weddings now. I’m definitely invested in the characters!

Ivy and Shelly head to the beach 🏝

This is a great beach read. When your husband dies and leaves you debt and a giant property you team up with your recently jilted sister and breath life back into that mysterious old house. Team that renovation with the town mayor slash/guy from high school working against you and your progress and things get pretty interesting. This book really hits all the right notes with a bit of history and a dash of mystery you are excited for the next page.

The narration from Erin is great!

Like listening to House Hunters

The story was light and fluffy. Predictable but in a good way.

The narrator has a nice voice but not right for this book. She was a little too Hallmark Channel for me. I think I would’ve enjoyed the book more of it were a more relatable narrator.
