Greg Boudreaux makes this entertaining!

Any additional comments?

Seriously, one of the only reasons I've given this such a high rating is because Greg Tremblay (as Greg Boudreaux) made this flufftastic ridiculousness entertaining.

This story has a badass assassin who only kills bad guys. Where the guy who's never given a blow job can suddenly deep throat because he's watched others doing it. Where a thirty-two year old man can orgasm 5 times in one hour.

There be magic penises here, aye!

But, at the end of the day, Greg Tremblay (as Greg Boudreaux) makes this SO FREAKING ENTERTAINING. It didn't matter how many plot holes or how completely ridiculous and unrealistic it was - it was FUN. And I will definitely check out the rest of the series.

NOTE: Don't be confused like I was. Though this is called the Assassin/Shifter series, there are, in fact, NO SHIFTERS in this book. Apparently, some time in book two shifters are mentioned, and then show up in book three? I don't know, but I'll find out!

Not sure where "shifter" comes from but great either way

Loved this book and can't wait to listen to the next book in the series...I am confused however to where the "shifter" part comes into play...looks like we might see it in the 3rd book of the series however I'm not there yet so can't say for sure...it is a bit misleading as I was waiting for it to make an appearance....I loved the book regardless

Great mystery suspense

Matteo is an assassin, and he has a job to take down Riley. He has studied and studied and can't figure out why he has been marked then one day when he decides not to take the hit someone else tries. Matteo saves Riley, still not sure why.
Riley is confused why he is being marked for a hit. He has product missing but not sure where it is. Riley goes to the safe house with Matteo where they find more than just who is after Riley.

This is a great story with lots of interesting characters. The mystery is good and has some major twists at the end. There is a tiny bit of humor threaded in to help soothe the angst. There is also a lot of sex but it was very sensual and hot.

Greg Boudreaux is one of my favorite narrators. He is always fabulous at giving each character a distinctive voice and making each scene exciting. The sex is really good.

If you like assassins, mystery/ suspense, lots of sex and a great romance, this is for you.

I LOVE THIS SO MUCH!

OMG! OMG! OMG!

I have absolutely loved this book (and series) for so, so long and to have Greg Tremblay (I mean Greg Boudreaux!) narrate? Nirvana!

By now you’re probably familiar with the book – but – WTH I’ll sum it up for you here.

Mateo belongs to a group of ex-soldiers who go around now killing bad guys for the government. (This is not a big part of their story line, but it gives you a taste of the type of men they are.)

In book one, Mateo is on assignment (supposedly) to kill Riley for unknown reasons. Luckily, Mateo always does the research before he makes a kill, and what he finds baffles him. So… instead of killing Riley he ends up kidnapping him!

Meanwhile, Mateo, who is openly gay, has an encounter in the back room of a bar with a guy who rocks his world… you can guess who the mystery man ends up being, right?

So now we have two guys, one who is out and proud but a mercenary assassin, and another in the closet-high-profile-businessman who are hot for each other but not sure they can be with the other in the long term.

And…bad guys are still after both Mateo and Riley… and we get to meet the other guys who will have their own books soon.

Oh – and lots of scorching hot sex!

Audio – Don’t get me started on how much I love Greg! He’s amazing and absolutely the best choice for this book – my only dream is that he does the entire series … (My friends and I are already applying for the loans to buy the series on audio… it’s like 24 books – so at around $12 a pop… well – it’s TOTALLY WORTH IT!!!

This is a fun, sexy, funny series with lots of sappy romance, hot sex and funny, unique characters that all link together – you won’t want to miss a book!

I highly recommend this series and this audiobook.

Disappointed

As soon as I've seen that one of Sandrines book is on audible I immediately bought it. I just love her books especially this Assassin/Shifter series. But I really, really dislike this narrator. I struggled to finish. I don't like his voice, how he reads, how he portraits characters, etc. I guess we are just not a good match.

such a sexy voice !

I read this book a few times before as sandrine is one of my favourite authors but to lie in the dark with a very sexy voice reading it to you at a more relaxed pace than I read myself with added chuckles and sighs and grunts in all the right places makes it a very enjoyable experience...roll on book two!
