Publisher's Summary

I’m wrong for her in all the right ways.

Everyone in the city knows who I am: Vincent Citrione, top capo of the most powerful crime family in the city. If you’ve got two brain cells to rub together, you’re scared sh*tless of me.

As for women, I give them the hardest, dirtiest f*ck of their lives before showing them the door. They know better than to expect more.

Commitments? F*ck ‘em.

At least, that was my motto until I caught her snooping in the wrong place at the wrong time. Aubriella. I wanted her to be like all the rest of the girls. I wanted to forget her.

But I can’t forget her lush curves…or the soft moans spilling from her lips.

She thinks she can say no to me and get away with it. She thinks she can walk away after what she’s seen. But one taste and I know she’s going to be mine. I don’t care what it takes.

I get what I want. And I want her.

This is a standalone, full-length mafia romance with a filthy-mouthed, possessive bad boy. Happily ever after guaranteed.

intense but not too dark.

This wasn't the darkest mafia romance I've ever read, but it was good.

I was a bit annoyed with the girl's voice and how difficult she was being.

It was so intense but beautiful. Lots of drama and violence. A little overdramatic slu shaming in the beginning, but still good.

Narration is rough and hard to take.

I just can’t. These two narrator’s go on the never again list. It’s over the top Goodfellows, clownish and the furthest thing from sexy. I had to delete.

Loved the story...until the end

I was drawn in the story throughout the book, until the last 2 chapters. I felt like the story just ended and nothing was cleared up. What about Frankie? What about her Dad? How did everything really tie together?

I LOVE listening to Alexander and CJ. It did more of a fun, childish feel to the book and made it feel not as serious as other mafia books I have read. But listening to Alexander... "sigh".

I also really enjoy reading Penelope's books. She has always found a way to keep you entertained and intertwined into the story as you read. Good book, but not fantastic.

DNF, almost done but lost my attention

This book held my attention for a while but it lost it toward the end. I started feeling bored with the story and since I already knew how it would end up playing out (I think so anyway), I was ready to move onto something else. Alexander Cendese is an excellent narrator but it felt like sacrilege to put that accent on his lovely voice. The accent bugged me for some reason, it's just not my thing for whatever reason. Then when he did the female voice it was so high pitched and nasal that it turned me off. The sexual interactions are kind of hot but fast and it just felt like something was missing. I enjoyed the book overall, it just wasn't a favorite.

this might have been good however..

the narrator ruined it for me i couldn't get past the squeaky voice, i couldn't focus on the story, editors and publishers should think twice before cranking out a audible book with a crappy narrative

Make narrator can not do a female voice

CJ Bloom as always is wonderful, Alexander Candese is a great male voice except for when he narrates the female character.

His: A Bad Boy Mafia Romance

This was a hard listen for me. It was LONG and I know that I blanked out in the middle. The male narrator was ok, but his reading reminded me of goodfellas/analyze this a little bit. Not bad, but not my favorite.

"MEH"

I couldn't help but laugh continuously as CJ Bloom reads the female voice. It was such a ridiculous voice. He was perfect as Vincent but him reading as Aubrielle turned this book into a comedy.
