Publisher's summary

Expressions of Poetry by Montice Harmon is a beautiful collection of semi-confessional poems that speak about the poet's trials and tribulations. The poems are a kind of motivation for depressed minds and discouraged people to rise above their problems and face the world with a positive attitude.

Most of Harmon's poems are prose poems. He takes prose poems to another level with this collection. The poems all deal with some aspect of the poet's personal struggles - his joys and sorrows - and they connect you with his spirit and inner mind.

Poetry need not be confessional all the time, but it can most often be the result of some soul-searching or some emotions that are embedded in the poet's mind.

Many poems are inspiring for the listener. They help the listener to come to terms with personal tragedies and rise above them.

Incredibly Addictive

The world needs poets like Montice Harmon. His life's experience along his dreams in love, society and the workd has proven there's still hope from our young black men. His ambitions are our guidance to peace of mind. Our modern day Martin Luther King Jr. I love printed books and received this one as a gift from my grandson in college. He insisted i try audio books and I gave it a try listening to Expressions of Poetry. An incredible story about a poetic soul searching for answers yet, giving life through his spoken words.

To say, I didn't think men like this exist anymore. His concerns are personal and touching. "Will You Marry Me?" Is such a beautiful poem with old school morals. When men respected woman and vice versa. Harmon pose a great purpose in today's generations with his mind set. Very power black man with wonderful morals and dignity. I've become extremely addictive to this book I listen to it daily. Even as I'm writing this review ;)

MONTICE HARMON: THE VOICE OF POETRY!

Life Spoken Through the Eyes of Poet: I've never heard poetry spoken so beautifully. Mr. Harmon is definitely what the world needs today. Especially in our society where we as a people lack self-respect because ethic backgrounds. His point of view on life is possible with determination and faith. We as a nation can do a lot better and without unity there will never be peace and harmony.

His life stories in prose are inspirational and delivered with pure talent. I have yet to receive the energy I felt listening to this story and how it moved my soul and spirit to higher thinking and focus. It's therapy to the entire being.

I was filled with love knowing someone cares for the future if our race and prays for a brighter future for the sake of our youth. Montice Harmon words are so smoothing and relaxing it's empowering beyond compassion. I pray his words moves this generation in a better direction mentally, spiritually and emotionally because his VOICE needs to heard...

Great Story..

Life is full of surprises, hopes and dreams. Mr. Harmon's gives us listeners words of expression that gives us courage and faith. I found this story of prose poetry to be more non-fiction then fiction because it hits so close to home when I realize the change our world needs.

The author touches on every life-changing experience it throws our way providing an every lasting impression that there is a chance we can unite, love and explore our souls for peace of mind to conquer our greatest fears. Some poets writes to rhyme, but Montice writes to inspire and motivate the world through poetry spoken word.

I learned a lot from this edition and would recommend it to my teenagers for encouragement and to any soul searching for inspiration. It truly inspired my family and gave us all a new outlook on life.

Righteously Legendary

Encouraged from the moment I started listening to this story. His visions are clear and speaks a million volumes of life. Harmon voice consoles listeners and guides them with knowledge and understanding of what we are and the control we have as a people to live in a world where change can come truth only if we believe.

His thoughts and opinions are deep religion folding into mordern day doctrines of truth and no room for lies. The thing I love dearly is that he doesn't deny his belief or faith in a higher power of love. Not of hate or being misunderstood. Judgment is our biggest problem and through this story I've learned no matter.. to never give up on love, life and believing we are important and deserve more then we've accepted.

Very inspiring for us right now as Black folk. Montice Harmon explains in detail how power the mind is when you believe. To never give up hoping for a better future when it seems it's no way. His speech reminds me of the great Martin Luther King Jr. Very powerful and I agree very much needed amongst black and brown people. This book has become my 2020 therapy.
