I can genuinely say that the enjoyment factor of actually putting many different types of plant oils and plant things inside of your hair and cleaning it and provide nutrients is great. The tips that this book provides are actually very helpful if you already weren't sure about how tea helps bring blood to the scalp along with mint and other herbs. The thing that had me side faced more than anything was the eggs, yogurt, and other animal based products which If that's your thing I don't know why. But I believe the stink out ways the benefits and i'd argue based on research that plant based natural hair care is better in the health since as well. I love the myths and truths section it helps disprove and prove certain things.

I really love this book and have tried many of the applications for hair and they really worked for me. This book gives you recipes on making your own hair care products including shampoos, conditioners, rinses, styling aids and more. The shampoo chapter is worth the price of the whole book. You get recipes for foaming, non-foaming and dry shampoos. The Black Tea and Sage shampoo kept my friends hair from turning a mousy gray color and actually brought back some of the dark color. I love the coconut milk shampoo and it made my hair shiny and soft. You will find ways to make conditions using things from the grocery store, kitchen and drug store. I loved the avocado conditioner, but you will find recipes using banana to yogurt. There are rinses including apple cider and lemon juice rinse that take out any build up and make hair shiny, manageable and squeaky clean. Loosing your hair or it won't grow? You will find many options that might just help including almond oil, rosemary and coconut oil. The hairspray made from sugar really did not attract flies and worked relatively well, but we made styling gel from one of the recipes and my cousin spiked his hair with it. There is a chapter on old wives tales concerning hair. Learn the truth about wearing hats, fear making your hair turn gray or using rainwater. The book also has secrets that celebrities and hair dresses as well as pioneer women used to make their hair look its best. It gives tips on keeping hair shiny, how to straighten and how to curl hair. The best thing is that you know exactly what is going on your hair instead of trusting commercial products with all kinds of harsh chemicals in them. I suggest this book for anyone that has hair.
For your appearance, the hair plays a huge role therefore its important to take care of it. Hair is made up of keratin and the blood vessels running through the scalp is what nourishes the follicles and help them produce hair. Using this book you can be able to make your own natural hair care products. You can make your own shampoo using ingredients found in your kitchen. You can use vinegar which is a great pH balancer and will do wonders for your scalp including the removal of flakes and dandruff. I have had a lot of problems with my hair mostly the presence of dandruff and that is why I have found this book very helpful. I have sampled some of the homemade shampoo and Wow,they are working wonders. I highly recommend this book for everyone. Go ahead and grab your copy now!
I have recently swapped over to using a completely natural shampoo from a store and have seen an incredible improvement in the condition of my hair. The problem is, is that it is rather expensive and so I was interested to see if there was some way I could recreate the same effect for less. This book is full of amazing natural hair care recipes that I cannot wait to try. I have particularly dry hair and scalp so I was so happy to know have a bunch of natural remedies at my fingertips to try.
This book is also very helpful in identifying the root cause of many hair problems including diet and stress.

‘Natural Hair Care’ by Susan Hollister is a cute audio book how to look after your hair. It is valuable source of information how herbs, natural oils, vinegars and others substance help your hair.
Susan gives a lots of creative, traditional and crazy recipes and remedies to keep your hair strong, healthy, shining and well styling. I am just stunned how easy you can make rich conditioner using eggs, honey, olive oils. I never heard about Castile soap so will be great to experiment with it to give extra foam to your shampoo. If you want to be eco-friendly try formula ‘No-poo’ that is foam free and natural solution for your hair. Susan provides lots of recipes for this king of formula.
I like the idea of henna rinse and apple cider vinegar as a treatment for greasy and coloured dark hair. Also interesting is yarrow shampoo for greasy hair as well as green tea shampoo or rinse. I have lots of herbs to experiment and Susan gives me inspiration to do and try. Funny are myth about hair, how it grows, getting grey or split or how frequently you need to wash them.
Prepare my first shampoo gives me and my kids lots of fun! Thank you Susan.
