Arcane Dropout

By: Edmund Hughes

Narrated by: Alex Ford

Lee Amaranth is a mystic, not a mage. In fact, he’s never cast a spell in his life. His day to day routine involves communing with unseen supernatural entities and using silver weapons to banish rampaging specters. With his sister missing, however, he has no choice but to go on a search that leads him to the locked gates of Primhaven University, a school forbidden to those untouched by arcane potential.

Luckily, if he plays his cards right, he might just have some help. A cute ghost from another century. A nerdy spellcasting prodigy. A beautiful teacher who sees right through his bullshit. It’s up to Lee to decide who to place his trust in as he formulates a plan to fake his way through classes and exams.

WARNING: This novel contains graphic sex scenes between the main character and numerous women/succubi/monster girls.

Interesting

Very Interesting concept and MC. Will be looking forward to hearing the next books. It's too bad the boss was given away so easily at the end though. It seemed like a good mystery to hold on to a bit longer

very intriguing

it was actually a pretty good storyline. it really keeps you listening and never really gets boring

Enjoyable harem/magic school novel

There's hardly any harem action here, but this is still a thoroughly enjoyable novel, and more gripping than most in the genre.

The narrator is terrific. She does a great job - I especially love her work voicing Tess and the snow bunny. An absolute delight.

Usually the protagonist in such novels is practically a god among men, imbued with amazing powers nobody around them has. Lee is a bit different. He does have special abilities, but that doesn't make him more powerful - just different. In fact, he lacks the abilities everyone around him has, and has to constantly work to mask the fact that he is weaker than they are. That keeps things interesting.

pretty great

there was to much sex for my own liking but the characters are well constructed and the story is intriguing

Amazing narration

The narration made this a very enjoyable story, absolutely amazing voice acting. Not to say the story was lacking but i would've skimmed some of the more annoying parts, mostly the mc being incompetent.
