Publisher's Summary

Warner spent his days like almost anyone else.

He got up, went to work, answered phone calls in a call center, went home, spent time with his daughter, and went to sleep.

Only to repeat the pattern over and over and over.

Life was as mundane as anyone could ever fear it to be.

Today was the day that all that would change.

On this day, his daughter Maya would be nearly fatally injured, plunging Warner into a world of paranormal creatures, monsters, and magic he’d never known existed.

The only consolation is that he discovers he’s not quite human, either.

Nor is he very happy with the way of the world or how it spun. Built on corruption, lies, and injustice for all.

An unlikely answer comes to him that fits his wounded heart.

Justice handed out by him personally. Vengeance and retribution in equal measure to all that deserve it.

Using his newfound powers and unbending determination, Warner is going to carve a path through the world that’ll send the darkest corners of existence fleeing before him. Even as he crushes them beneath his furious strikes.

The very world will tremble with his actions and fear his coming.

Warning and minor spoiler: This novel contains graphic violence, undefined relationships/harem, unconventional opinions/beliefs, and a hero who is as tactful as a dog at a cat show. Listen at your own risk.

Fantastic!

This book was so good! All the elements of a harem story without the graphic sex. And the best part is that he writes a story catering to that genre that still has an amazing story line. The narrator is amazing as always of course! I truly enjoyed every minute of this book and I can’t wait for the next one!

Stop reading this review and BUY THE BOOK!

Still reading? fine, pay attention then. I recommend getting "Swing Shift" first if you want to understand a lot of the background happening of this world, so far the book is self-contained but I doubt it will stay that way. This book, however is absolutely FIRE! I loved every second of it. Pacing, story, narrator, action, comedy, side characters. it all comes together in a wonderful package that makes me want to look into the future to get the next one. If you want to listen to a book that has a really smart and realistic MC, beautiful and smart female leads, (that absolutely steal the show) and a story that connects across other books. Get this one. you won't regret it!

Crappy book

This was one of the most painful books I've ever listened to! The storyline and dialogue were oh so painful to listen to. I tried so hard to withhold judgement, and keep an open mind... The sleaze factor overwhelmed me in the end. The narrator wasn't too bad - did a great job of conveying the sleaziness. What an ordeal!

Huh?What???

Copied this from another review. "In the end, it's a case of, "huh"? There was an interesting theme to the story but nothing was explained. How the hero changed, what he was, and why he had the drawbacks he did ... overall, especially for this author, it was thoroughly underwhelming and even slightly disappointing of what could've been an amazing story" When I read the other audible reviews it felt like all were urging me to buy the book, makes me think. I did not like this book...just so we're clear. I liked the narrator but all that stuttering is annoying.

Right of Retribution

William D Arand is one of the most talented and skilled author. And it shows in this book I can't wait to buy the next book in this series. Andrea Parsneau who makes the characters and world come alive with the narration of this book. She aloud us the listeners. To explore the world that the author created.

Another great book from William D Arand...

You have to love the Runner-verse! A great vigilanty story that occures in the same world and timeline as Swing Shift as an angry dad makes up for the injustice carried out after his daughter is crippled by a cop in a hit and run. As usual it checks all the boxes in a Harem novel by William for me; action, romance, heart felt moments and laughs a-plenty!
