Publisher's summary

Lee’s time at Primhaven has finally come to an end. With his former friend and lover Eliza, now a looming threat to the supernatural world, he’s forced to make a deal with the infamous Dealmaker to have any hope at brokering a resolution. Though, the price may in fact be higher than he’s willing to pay.

A new incident puts him undercover and at odds with old friends. It’s up to Lee to navigate the thinning margins of morality, all while coming to terms with a long-ignored, fundamental truth: He’s in love with a ghost.

Sad it's Over!

Arcane Dropout 6 brought a complete conclusion to the Arcane dropout series! What a ending it is! This combined with the Dark Impulse series makes a fine story that in the end really leaves you wanting more. I really hope he makes a third series. Edmund Hughes has become my favorite Author. Sure there is some knottiness in his story's but really that's part of how you get so engaged with the personality's of the characters involved. I also recommend the Weatherblight Saga, another great series by this author.

Hobestly it was a prety good series, though id have liked a little more with eliza, some kind of last bit, hopefully in future series well get more from her, she really kinda gets fucked.

Great tie out

Everything comes about rather abruptly but I'd be lying if I said that wasn't exactly what I wanted from this series.Well done.

That ending though!

I definitely did not cry during the last few chapters of the book. Nope, not at all. Lying aside, this was a roller coaster of emotion. I do wish the ending had maybe 1 or 2 more chapters to answer some questions left over from earlier in the book/series, but it was a satisfying enough ending to make the whole story feel complete. Alex Ford is a voice acting master right alongside Andrea Parsneau, in my opinion. I will definitely give Edmond's other books a try now, though I am pretty sure the series around Jack Masterson is not one I need to listen to anymore. Great work!

Ok end to the series

This book concludes the "Arcane Dropout" series.

I LOVE some of the complex relationships, especially around Harper. There was some deep emotion in this book.

But the plot points seem... weak. "How" something happens doesn't seem to make sense, and plenty of past details are just set aside to be ignored. That made the ending feel less satisfying to me.

The real standout of this book is the narrator. She does a great job with distinct character voices, including the male protagonist, but her work with Tess has been terrific, and during the more emotional scenes her voice work was absolutely legendary!

It went one way then another

kind of disappointed in some of the decisions the characters made and the progression of the plots being going in One Direction stopping at a point completely and then going another and ending pretty abruptly Enterprise

rushed finish still pretty good

it seems like a number of plot elements and character elements fell apart. A bit of Deus ex machina. out of character behaviors and pulling unlikely strings.

It's a practical need in stories for bad things to happen to good people but I still hate it.

Plenty of potentially open threads for a new series which I would definitely read.
