so i bought this to see if it had anything in for my husband who has a host of middle age conditions. the subject was very interesting and I'll definitely be incorporating some of the ideas into our general eating plan. I'm going to agree to disagree on the subject of meat and aging, there are a few high amimal fat cultures out there that remain healthy just as there are high carb, so its not the macros. The description of blood markers that he described actually describes my hisband in a very spooky way, and i was looking forward to seeing the recipes. These are why the book got a lower rating than 5 stars. They barely match the text, look awful, sound awful and were a real let down. I'll try the principles of the book but not the recipes. i hate chicken and good luck finding pasture chicken, not even whole foods sells it. you have to go online, almonds are in the recipes but not in the approved foods list ( almonds are reactive for me so a no go) and eggs everywhere even after saying keep proteins low. just sloppy and boring and another food i react to. just nothing to make and dont give me that vegan egg garbage, they dont work and taste like f@rt. sloppy.

Great Narrator! Easy on the ears to follow. Fascinating subject matter for those into the subject of healthy living, nutrition, and longevity.
Great view point for vegetarians and vegans to meat eaters. Worth a listen. Grundy is believable because of his background and observations from patients. With a career as a heart surgeon in the Blue Zone, Loma Linda, Ca.

I happened to see Dr. Gundy’s infomercial between YouTube videos and it intrigued me. I started to try and help alleviate joint pain. Now two months later I am 20 lbs lighter and have no joint pain!!
