Publisher's summary

Animal. Monster. Beast. That's what they call Viktor Melikov, the man who hides in the dark...but even monsters need to be loved. The moment he sees the girl hired to dance for him, everything ceases to exist. It's a feeling he's unfamiliar with...and craves more than anything.

Alexis Kidd sells her body. Not because she wants to, but because she needs to. A girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do to support her family and survive.

Now she must dance for a man hiding behind a veil.

But when the urge to take a look grows too strong, Alexis gets more than she bargained for.

More than Viktor was willing to give.

No cliffhanger. Stand alone.

Inspired by a fairytale, Viktor is a standalone romance by New York Times and USA Today best-selling author Clarissa Wild.

Really Comes Alive!

I read "Viktor" before, but I must say that listening to this was an absolute pleasure. Having it read to you... hearing their voices just seems to bring the characters to life.....
The "Company" is a bad bad organization. No one knows that better than Viktor. Ten years ago he did the unthinkable, paid a price and told himself he was done with it....... the "Company" doesn't agree!

Loved Listening As Much As I Did Reading Viktor

I read this book first and then jumped at the chance to get to listen to it. It is one of my favorite Clarissa Wild books. The narration is amazing and you will be so lost in this experience the whole world will fall away from you for a while. This is one book that is both worth reading and listening too. Now for a bit about the story too so you know what you have to look forward to.

Viktor Melikov has lived through hell. He has hidden in his castle because people call him an animal, monster or beast. He hides his face and doesn't care about much of anything really.. He has got a temper and lots and lots of secrets. He hires girls to dance for him and only ever uses the same girl once. The rules are simple no looking at him ever. Nobody dares to look at him because it could cost them their life. That didn't scare her though and she watched him, actually had the nerve to look and he likes what he saw.

Alexis Kidd was a street kid. She only has her sister and protects her with her life if she has to. Selling her body got her and her sister off the street and into a room at least. It's the first real home they have ever had and she's also able to provide them with food. After receiving a lot of money to dance but not look at some man in a castle, Alexis did what she was not suppose to do. She looked and she liked what she saw. She wants to know more about him Why does he hide behind a veil? She just knows she has to find out more no matter what the consequences.

Viktor is a book that is inspired by a fairytale. It's dark and edgy and absolutely amazing. I could not put this book down until I got to the very end. It's a absolutely beautiful story of two damaged souls. Full of edge of your seat breath taking moments and a whole lot of hotness. I so do not want to give anything away and I'm terrified I will. There are moments in this book you will never see coming.

Clarissa Wild is one of my favorites. She never fails to stir up strong emotions in me and keep me guessing. Viktor is a must read especially if you love dark reads. I'm so glad I got to read this book and I can not wait to see what Clarissa Wild comes up with next.

Another great Clarissa Wild story!

I really liked this story! I enjoyed the male narrator alot more than the female though. If it was done duet style, it would have been better. I think the male did a better female voice though than the female did with the male voice. It was still enjoyable though, and the narration didnt take away from the story. I loved Viktor, he stole my heart!

CLARISSA, YOUR BEST WORK EVER!!

What can I say love! love! if you love your fairy tales, in this case 'Beauty & the Beast'
and you love them with dark themes and lots of suspense and just enough erotica without going over the top with it and for me personally, don't appreciate vulgar explicit fan fiction sexual books. I need to become involved and feel the characters and need narrators to bring these characters to life! The author has definitely done that with this book. Also the narrator John Tillman absolutely in love with his voice. For me this is a keeper! Hopefully she will bring some other fairy tales to life.... here's hoping (fingers crossed)

Great Falls to plagiarism of Beauty and the Beast

Although the story was slightly different, it just runs so highly and similarity to Beauty and the Beast that I had a hard time believing Amazon would let this be published without someone screaming plagiarism. Although I love Beauty and the Beast, so I'll give it 4 stars. However a message to the author, you should be more careful to make sure your story is a lot more diverse from a classic original.

Cheesey

I was excited about this book but lost enthusiasm quickly. the narrator made sarcasm and smart ass remarks sound snarky and childish ruining most of the book. "Lexi" and her sister are too much.

I loved it!!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I read this book before and loved it but hearing it just makes it so much more. It's such a great story and a beauty and her beast.

Which scene was your favorite?

I don't have just one favorite, I enjoyed it all.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Yes, it made me laugh at times and when I was close to the end I was so involved in the book, I cried.

Any additional comments?

I recommend this audio, you won't be disappointed.

A twisted version of Beauty & The Beast

Where does Viktor rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I am actually glad I went Audio with this book. In doing so I was able to connect with the characters the way the author intended - It truly made for a whole different take on the story. You hear within their voices the desperation, the determination and the resolve in places that you may miss when reading it.

What did you like best about this story?

I was constantly thrown from one extreme to the other throughout this story. There were a lot of surprise twists and being an audio it actually made the whole experience even more thrilling and suspenseful. When something happened I would jump or gasp - it's like a movie you can't see what is about to happen.

Which character – as performed by John Tillman – was your favorite?

Winston was honestly my favorite character in this story - Do not get me wrong I loved our H and h but there was just something about Winston that made me smile. (maybe it was the accent IDK)

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I found the beauty and the beast link within this story very beautiful - he had not become a beast because of some evil deed or darkness within, can not tell you why or what happened only that it all linked together beautifully

Any additional comments?

This is a fairy tale - a fantasy and a wonderful one at that

Loved it!!!!!!

What can i say about Clarissa Wild's writing that hasn't been already said?

What can i say about this book????

I freaking love the twisted ,dark and so beautiful way she has woven this story!!!
I love how she has managed to give us one more story about the company and at the same time weave into that story a dark and twisted Beauty and the Beast.
Each book leaves me wanting more and at the same time each book gives me an after book bliss
Once again there were some holes in the plot and at some points Victors turn from Beast to Prince kinda bothered me (what can i say i liked him dark and dangerous) but her writing is so good that before anything managed to bother me the book was finished and i was floating in the after glow!

I loved all the strong feelings and all the twists and turns this book had...
I loved how well the narrator came and brought everything to life with that sexy voice of his!!!

The narration ruined it for me

Liked the story. Previously read it & looked forward to an audiobook from an author I enjoy.

The narration was so bad I struggled to get through the story. I had to stop listening at points & put it away for a few days at a time. Characters were inconsistent. The portrayal of the FL took me out of the story each time.

A few issues with editing but really this was not the narrator for this story, in my opinion. Likely should have had a make & female narrator.
