Love this book! Listened to it in one day. Very clever how it was structured.

I usually don’t go for a lot of MC books.
This one though was knocked out of the park!!
Just enough of everything mixed together!!

okay... could have been MUCH better.

the book had the potential to be great. but the author rushed it. it was so insta-love. I already hate insta love, but let's be real,... *Spoiler alert*...

you leave because they treat you like sh*t, then, the one who treats you the worst kidnaps you after his prospect cold cocks you, strips you naked on order and dumps you in a cell, with a concussion, with no bed or blanket and freezing cold. And your response to him within hours of leaving that room is to feel like he's loyal to you, and was to sleep with him... makes the lead h more of a fake bada** than a legitimate one. she truly hand no real backbone and didn't know her worth. she just pretended to. Annoying... goodness thinking more about it makes me want to remove another star.

The Queen of Carnage

Queen of Carnage is the first book in the Underestimated Series. This is Orion, Halo, Gage and Luna’s story. This is a sexy Kings of Carnage - MC story.

I laughed when I read that Orion has a 3rd arm. In fact I laughed all the way through that couple of paragraphs that Luna had with Orion! This certainly isn’t a rom com although there are funny dialog’s.

My first book that is a spinoff from this series was Tainted Oaths and then I read Twisted Vows. I felt I had to go back and discover more about the characters from those 2 books. I know that I have to continue because I didn’t get all my answers from The Queen of Carnage and it left me wanting to know more. So as soon as this review is completed I will be reading the Princess of Chaos and that will be Megan’s story. She was Luna’s BFF.

I love books that make me so interested that I have to go back and discover everything I can about a series. That is what Candice Wright made me want to do. That shows me that Candice Wright is a great author. When you have to go out and buy every book you can by that author. I am going to give Queen of Carnage 5 Stars.

Lucy Rivers did a fine job narrating this book. Although my preference is to have a man do the male roles and a woman to do the female roles. Over all Lucy did a great job of tackling all the characters in this book.

A surprise!

I got this book thinking "normal mc romance" but never thought I'd find so much humor and female bad a**ory involved in it. Well worth the credit and excited to see if the next is a continuation of this story as well as a new female lead's rise.

My favorite series

I’ve read them all!!!! Hearing my fav series is just a bonus. Don’t wonder if you should dive in to the deep end, do it. Your gonna love it, it’s a wild twisted ride with amazing spin off characters. Two thumbs way up!!!!

Why did I wait so long with this series!?!

This was my first book by this author and she definitely convinced me with this RH MC story that it won't be the last! I love MC stories and RH on top of it made it even better ❤️ I think the main reason I didnt give it 5 is because the relationships were very instant-love and for me and in contemporary romance that isn't very realistic with multiple people involved. Like sometimes I can get onboard with 1-1 soulmates/instant-love but not really in an RH scenario (again yes I know it's fiction, but when you write contemporary and not PNR/supernatural/etc. you still have to keep in mind it's real world).

Besides that, this was a very strong 4-4.5 stars and I already added the other audiobooks to my TBR to listen when I have some credits saved up (I was watching in the big Audible sale for them to come down on price but alas hahaha). I thought the narration was done well, I haven't heard that narrator for a long time (I listened to another RH series narrated by her and loved it). She does the different voices well. She was able to in some scenarios bring the characters to life for me, helped immerse me in this awesome world. 4-4.5 stars for narration!

In terms of the story, I liked all the push and pull from the MC guys and Luna. I also loved some of the side characters, I can't wait to read/listen about them in some of the next books in this series. I had no clue these were standalones within a series, not gonna lie haha. I enjoyed the twists and turns in this, especially who one of the side characters ended up being. I enjoyed the ending, can't wait to get more of her story and some of the yummy guys introduced nicely at the end of book 1. So in terms of Luna and her guys, Halo has a special place in my heart haha. His quirkiness and moments of adorableness, along with his domineering side were fabulous. Orion was a tough nut to crack but once he was on board he was amazing. Gage to me was tough, like I didnt like him 100% in the beginning and even when Luna came back into their life I still wasn't all the way onboard. He warmed up with his loyalty and protectiveness. Now Luna was funny and awesome. I enjoyed her journey in this book and her unfiltered moments were hilarious. I will say some of her background and the twists thrown out there by the author were confusing sometimes, like I get keeping it a secret but there wasn't enough to lead us to there, if that makes sense. I enjoyed her brothers and hope they get to be a part of one of these books!

Definitely recommend this series and author, super excited to get into more of these stories 😊

I cannot even begin to explain all of the twists and turns inside plots and all of the other things that happen in this book this book is freaking fabulous the female lead is phenomenal

Action packed reverse harem romance

A fantastic and action packed reverse harem romance. Brilliant storyline with a secret bad ass FMC and heat in and out of the bedroom. Perfectly narrated from the FMC pov, with her personality reflected brilliantly and each individual character recognised and brought to life.

Just as good as reading the book for the first tim

I loved reading this book and couldn't wait to listen to it as well, as it was so good it's definitely a book I return to time and again. I wasn't sure about the narration in the beginning but I got used to it and ended up enjoying it.

Cracking pace

I thoroughly enjoyed this novel and the narration was splendid, (I prefer dual male/female usually, far too many characters for that, but this narrator did extremely well. I thought the storyline interesting, varied and very well portrayed. Definitely recommend and have just ordered the next one !

Brilliant

This is a wonderful story with a super strong sassy and independent woman, surrounded by sexy men. I loved reading this series and the narration brings it to life adding the right amount if feeling when needed. I cannot wait to listen to the next book

Devoured in 2 days!

I absolutely love this book, and listening to the audio is no different. I love Candice Wrights story telling and Lucy Rivers does a fabulous job on delivering it, I can't wait for the next one.
