Publisher's Summary

She was my obsession. I was her destruction.

Beth:

My life is not my own. I belong to the family. Every step I make is dictated. Until him. Skull.

The only man I've ever loved. The only man I will ever love. His touch inflames me. I can't stay away - even if I should. I gave him my body and my heart.

To keep him safe, I will sell my soul to the devil. The lies began with our hello. Now, I'm captured by them.

Skull:

There's an animal in me that I keep hidden. Beth calls to him. She tempts the monster and lures him to the surface. I'm obsessed with her. I can't stay away, even when doing so puts my entire club in danger. Her blood is on my hands. I formed her to fit only me. I was her first and if I have to kill everyone in our way. So be it. I will be her last. She is mine.

Warning: Cliffhanger ahead. This book will end in a cliffhanger and continue with Craved, Burned, and Released.

Its'nt that a good sign tho that the Author can bring out all your emotions, in just one book, will i purchase the next Probably as i would like to hear Beast Story .. :-)

Awesome listen!

First book from this author but have already got next two on Kindle! Narration was spot on! Love Skull and Beth’s story, but didn’t like it was cliffhanger and the rest were not on Audible. But will read because need to know “ the rest of the story”!
Thank you Jordan Marie and I will be enjoying many more of your books.

OMG I actually shed tears with Beth!

Bravo Morgan Tyler, I really felt Beth's pain! Your performance was amazing, I will be watching for more books narrated by you! I really enjoyed the book overall and plan to buy the other audio books in the series, definitely worth the credit.

Oh come on!!!!

The story was good, the twists and turns were interesting. The sex scenes were even fairly well written. However, that ending is Hands down the absolute worst cliff hanger I’ve ever read.

Then I go to look and the next book wasn’t even about them. Then when I found the book for the continuation of their story I read the summary and was just... done. I want to know what happens, but not badly enough to sit through an unrealistic scenario about him being pissed at her because she was essentially kidnapped and held prisoner.

It was already a tough pill to swallow that he was angry because she didn’t disclose her family in the first place, yet the story set it up very clearly that he was single minded in his conquest of her and wasn’t exactly asking or caring about who she was anyway. I could buy the plot line as it was written but just barely. Then she escapes, shows up and he’s with someone who may or may not be a love interest and she just happens to go into labor as she sees him, then the synopsis indicates that the story is going to be about him not trusting her... instead of perhaps the more realistic scenario being her return, baby on board after escaping and him and her seeking to dispense justice on her grandfather for taking her from him and putting them both through hell.

I barely ever write Reviews but this one pulled me to post. The author is a good writer and the plot was good, but falling into the age old “it’s all her fault and she must pay... “ in a situational setup that is so blatantly not her fault or choice is extremely frustrating for me as a reader.

Hate all the angst and the damn cliffhangers

Ok, the series is hot and the overall story is pretty good, with the exception of the excessive angst. In addition, I found myself getting impatient with the Heroine and her decision making. Yes, she is only 19 and doesn’t have a lot of living, under her belt, but good God. Someone needs to tell her the definition of stupidity.(you know, repeating the same behavior and expecting a different result?) Of course, the angst isn’t resolved for additional 2 1/2 books cause there are flipping cliffhangers for 3 books in a row. I will admit that, at least, the author is up front about the cliffhangers by announcing it the summary of book one. The completion of this book does not happen until book 3 but if you skip to book three (3/4 the way through, as a matter of fact) you’ll miss some important details . In my opinion, it ruined the series by taking so long to resolve a major conflict between Skull and Beth. I won’t lie, I enjoyed the story, overall, but, due to the long drawn out negative angst, I will likely never listen to the series again. However, this is my personal opinion and I’m sure there are those that do not agree.

Good story but horrible narrations

The story was good, but the 2 narrators ruined it. Not sure if I can handle listening to the next book. I guess I’ll have to read it if I want to see what happens next.

Story was good, but the narration? HORRID.

I really liked the story, but the narration ruined it. I had some good laughs at the really dramatic parts where I should have been sad. I guess I was entertained, if nothing else...

Narration ruined it!!!

Would you try another book from Jordan Marie and/or Leo Barnabas and Morgan Tyler ?

Love Jordan Marie. I really love her books but the narration these two did was awful. The accents ruined it for me. I have read the book already but I wanted to listen to it on audible. I listened for about 5 minutes and stopped. They were fake and forced. Not at all how I would picture Beth to sound. Skull sounded like he was an old man. The accents these narrators used were awful. I couldn’t listen anymore. These narrators might be good without accents so I won’t completely write them off but I won’t listen to this series with them on it. Unfortunately I will be returning this series.

Brilliant

OMG what an amazing book! I have been desperate to read it, and was it worth the wait? Oh hell yes and more!!!
Skull is the president of the Devil's Blaze MC. He doesn't believe in love, just lust! When he sets his eyes on Beth, his feelings for her knock him on his ass!!!
This is a book that will leave you white knuckled and breathless and every emotion inbetween!!! With twists and turns at every page, you won't be able to stop reading once you start!!!
With secrets unfolding throughout the book, it's one hell of a story that will drag literally every single emotion through you with each page you turn!!! It ends on a cliffhanger, which is understandable, even though I hate them, it had to end the way it did. Yet another book I couldn't put down, Jordan Marie has definitely wrote one hell of a powerful book and one you don't want to miss

Good story but unpleasant to listen to

I have mixed feelings about this one The book itself was ok, I liked the story, but it got completely ruined by the people who narrated the book The guy’s character was ok, not great but I gave him a chance But the girl! Omg What was with the accent?! I had to force myself to finish the book I pretty much suffered through it till the end, I just wanted to read a hard copy
Also, It a bit annoyed me how they just met and were professing undying love to each other like 3 days later The same thing annoyed me in Burned Just take it easy people! (I meant the main characters)
