Publisher's summary

After four years spent apart, Aaron is on his way home to marry the love of his life — his best friend. The proposal? It’s about to end in disaster.

Dedicated, determined, and head-over-heels in love, Aaron is ready to settle down with the man of his dreams — his best friend, Gage. With a prestigious degree under his belt, a promising career ahead of him, and a loving boyfriend to pamper and spoil for the rest of their lives, the future is brighter than it’s ever been.

Isn’t it?

The lie Gage has been living for the last four years is about to fall apart, and there’s only one way he can see himself holding it together. The proposal? It’s everything he’s ever wanted, but something he might never be able to have….

When the steamiest summer of Gage’s life leaves him pregnant with Aaron’s child, Gage knows what he has to do. He’s made Aaron a promise, and the future of their family depends on it.

Forced to keep his son a secret from everyone — even Aaron — Gage does whatever it takes in order to keep a roof over their heads. But when his child gets sick and Gage can’t afford medical treatment, he has a difficult choice to make.

How far will he go to keep his future family together?

When an unexpected reunion brings Aaron and Gage back together, they’re faced with a choice: Overcome the obstacles standing in their way to becoming a happy family, or accept that the proposal they’ve both been dreaming is never going to happen.

The Proposal is a 70,000 word contemporary omegaverse mpreg novel featuring a quirky group of single dads, a live stream you’re never going to forget, pretty pearls in naughty places, and a love that neither time nor distance can tear apart.

TD2 wins my heart

Talk about a story of complete selflessness. That is Gage to a t. We met TeenDad2 in the prior story and now get to explore more about him. Both the bad times and the good times. What a wonderful story!! There is only so much you can learn about folks online and to learn about all Gage has been through, his interactions with the guys online, his interactions with Aaron, and how he takes care of his little boy. All of it leads to a load of emotions that both the author and the narrator portray. I've very much enjoy listening to this story.

Loved It!

I couldn't wait to read Gage's story. This book captured my attention, my heart and didn't let go until the last page.
This is a story about love, sacrifice, mistakes, forgiveness and healing. The choices that are made at such a young age might not be the ones made later in life. Gage and Aaron travel quite the journey to their HEA. To see them become a family is beautiful. Michael Ferraiuolo does an outstanding job of bringing these characters to life.
I am loving this series and I can't wait for the next book!

heartbreakingly wonderful

Gage and Aaron’s story is heartbreakingly wonderful. I loved their relationship and what they both had to go through, especially sweet, strong Gage. This is a really great book and series that makes you feel all of the emotions as you wade through these men’s lives. This story is made even better by the narration of Michael Ferraiuolo.

excellent

great story. like all Piper books. great continuation of the sdsg I forgot how hung up on td knot was there for a second. and omg Harley actually was speaking that blew my mind. after his book he just hardly speaks I feel like. just pops in. I felt so bad about td keeping everything hidden .and his dad Gabriel must have went into a horrible tailspin of flashbacks after what he went through. so good.

3.5 stars

Would I listen to it again: yes, but probably only if i'm doing a full series re-listen
Did the story keep me engaged: not particularly
Was I invested in the characters: I was invested in Gage, not so much Aaron.

📖 Story comment: Enjoyed the story for the most part, I felt for Gage's character and the things he needed to do. Wasn't a fan of Aarons character or certain behaviour, I just didn't connect with him at all, and I didn't really feel the "magic" between the characters that I've come to expect from Piper Scott.

🎧 Narrator comment: Michael Ferraiuolo kept me engaged with this book, he suits the characters, has good cadence, inflections and intonations and it's easy to distinguish the characters from each other. Overall an enjoyable performance and he bought the characters of the book to life.

Loved it!

The Proposal is an emotional story of true love, sacrifice, acceptance and forgiveness. Poor Gage broke my heart. He tried so hard to keep things together while Aaron was away. Aaron and Gage eventually get their happy ending but it was a bumpy road to get there.
Narration was fantastic except (and this is my own preference) I did not like the voice Michael gave to Gabriel but since he’s hardly in the story I can overlook it!
