Publisher's Summary

From USA Today best-selling author Devney Perry, writing as Willa Nash, comes a small-town stranded-together romance.

Kerrigan Hale’s personal life is about as exciting as a bucket of tar. With hard work and hustle as her steadfast companions, who needs romance or adventure? Her empire in Calamity, Montana, isn’t going to build itself.

For years, her mentor - and investor - helped make her dreams come true. Until his unexpected death put her fate in his grandson’s hands. A brazen billionaire, he seems intent on ruining Kerrigan’s life.

But if Pierce Sullivan thinks she’ll go down without a fight, he’s sorely mistaken. Pushed to the extreme, she drives to his ritzy mountain lodge to force the arrogant You Can Call Me Mr. Sullivan to hear her out.

No sooner does she arrive than a snowstorm traps her with Pierce. Stranded together for days, she’s in for the battle of her life. Pierce is nearly irresistible by candlelight. Without his suits and fancy cars, he’s almost human.

Except only a fool would let down her guard. And Kerrigan can’t risk her future. Not when she doesn’t know if he’s out to pilfer her dreams...or to steal her heart.

❤️ A SWEET, FEEL-GOOD, LOW-ANGST ROMANCE ❤️

Calamity’s Property Entrepreneur Kerrigan had a wealthy mentor whose faith in her abilities drove her on, inspired her and he lent her money too.. but, when the elderly successful businessman suddenly dies, his estranged Billionaire Grandson Pierce inherits everything. The damaged Businessman drives from Denver Hellbent on severing her ties to his Company, wrecking her plans and dreams and collecting on her debt.. so bankrupting Kerrigan. And the first few times Pierce and Kerrigan meet it’s battle lines, angry glares and heated words.. however, Fate and Destiny interfere giving them a chance to act on the chemistry that’s been sizzling and flaring between them. And the mega snowstorm that Fate flung their way was overkill and clearly her showing off.. but it allowed them to talk freely, lower walls, let go of their hostilities, clear-up misconceptions and really get to know each other.. and what they discovered was love.. undeclared love.

But Billionaire Pierce Sullivan was holding a big secret close to his chest.. a commitment that stops him asking for more.. something important that drew him back to Denver.. and that just about broke Kerrigan’s heart. This man will be back.. he will be willing to reveal his secret.. he’ll show all his cards.. and he will hopefully claim his woman.. but will she be waiting.. or walking away?

Worth a credit? Yes I really enjoyed this feel-good romance where a drool-worthy hotshot Billionaire meets a sweet sassy woman with small town charm. It was a wee bit insta but sweet sentiments, adult conversations, sexy times and a soul-to-soul connection easily moulds and meanders through a low-angst listen. And the awesome dual POV narration by Ava and Aiden were perfect for the characters. And whether this author is writing as Devney Perry or Willa Nash it’s a ’one click’ sure bet for me.

Oh So Fabulous!!!

Kerrigan and Pierce!! Oh oh my! I was so excited for this book as I really liked Kerrigan so far throughout this series, and the confrontation that we witnessed with her and Pierce in the last book, had me impatiently waiting. Well I was not disappointed!! I truly did not like Pierce, and the pain that he was causing Kerrigan, really made me not like him. He was arrogant, angry, unyielding, and mean. However, the more I got to know him, he started to win me over. Kerrigan was a super star. She was real and raw through most of the book, and I loved that she defended herself when it came to what she wanted. Kerrigan fought and showed who she really was, and Pierce slowly began to thaw. Willa Nash kept me guessing with what was really going on, and I did not expect what came, twice, but it was beautiful. Willa Nash has a gift for making you feel what her characters are feeling, and she can also make you fall hard for the side characters too. I loved the fact that this relationship did not start off good, and the build was exhilarating. I fell in love with Pierce, and Kerrigan is an amazing woman who held tight to her dreams. This book was fabulous! One of my top reads of the year.
The narration in this book is fantastic!! Ava Erickson adds so much to her characters that it is easy to get lost in her voice, and Aiden Snow(Please hold while I fan myself) has one of the hottest voices in the business. With these two narrating you always know which character is talking and you do not get lost. Great choice for this title!!!

Love

4.5 stars! Oh Mr. Sullivan how hot you are! There is just something about Pierce Sullivan that draws you in despite being an arrogant jerk to Kerrigan. I didn’t really understand how Kerrigan formed such a bond with Gabriel that he financed her entrepreneurial aspirations and obviously Pierce had his thoughts. Believing his grandfathers reasons to not be completely professional, Pierce wants all ties cut to Kerrigan’s loan when he inherits the debt. Little did he know this little spitfire has as much drive and passion for her business as he has for dumping it. The complexity of Pierce’s past is unthinkable and once the truth is out, Kerrigan finally understands. Can she forgive Pierce for drawing her into a passionate weekend and disappearing? Their story is is about letting go of their past and learning to focus on priorities, but these lessons are never learned without heartache. There is so much love surrounding Pierce and Kerrigan. I enjoyed watching them grow together.

Completely in love with this series

This series is SO my jam! We're three books in and I still can't get enough. After finishing, The Brazen, I was immediately looking ahead to the next book in the series.

In this instalment of the Calamity Montana series, Kerrigan is the heroine. She made an impression in book one as a savvy businesswoman and I was so hoping to see her get an HEA. She's a really great character who fights for what she wants and I'm so pleased she got the story she deserved.

Here's what I loved:
Pierce is an uptight, snarky, tycoon who doesn't know what hit him when Kerrigan reads him the riot act at the end of book 2. Luckily, this book picks up right where that one leaves off and we get to see their story unfold from beginning to end.
The instant attraction Pierce feels for Kerrigan as well as the lingering resentments he has, make for an interesting story with great chemistry.
These characters are completely differently, but share common values of hard work and having a go getter type spirit that make them super compatible.
The story is sweet and sexy. It paced well and has a tiny shocker that I never expected.
Once the romance progresses, Pierce's all in vibe is so hot. I loved how protective he was of Kerrigan with her family.

Overall, this was a quick read that ticked all the boxes for me. Recommended!

A great enemies to lovers story

Kerrigan and Pierce are wonderful together. Misunderstandings are at the root of their first meeting. I really like this series set in Calamity Montana. I'm looking forward to more set in Calamity. Ava Erickson and Aiden Snow bring Kerrigan and Pierce to life for me.

A fantastic enemies to lovers romance

Every couple this lady writes, become my new favourites and Kerrigan and Pierce are no different.

Kerrigan has grown throughout the first two books in this series, from the property owner with a mysterious backer, to a good friend to Lucy and Everly as they adjusted to their new lives in Montane, but she’s always been more in the background, until the ending of The Bluff where we saw Kerrigan and Pierce facing off in the street. This is the moment I couldn’t wait to get my hands on their story.

Enemies to lovers is one of my favourite tropes and Willa absolutely nailed this one.

Kerrigan’s family are completely unsupportive of her property portfolio dreams, even going so far as to offer her jobs in the family business at every turn, so when she meets Gabriel, a man who offers her money with great payment terms, unequivocal support and years of advice and friendship, she jumps at his offer. Sadly Gabriel passes before his time and when his very angry and upset grandson comes to town to collect on the investment his grandfather made to Kerrigan, getting the wrong end of the stick to the nature of their relationship in the process, sparks fly. Literally and metaphorically. After chasing him down to his families exclusive mountain lodge to make him see her point of view, the pair end up stuck together in a snowstorm. After fighting their feelings for days, it’s inevitable when this pair give in to their mutual attraction. They both have personal issues going on though, so decide their relationship will only last as long as they’re stuck together... You know the old saying about best laid plans though.

I wasn’t a fan of Pierce in the beginning, but another great talent of Ms Nash’s is turning alfaholes into loveable characters, and she certainly did that with Pierce. When his secrets were revealed (yes, plural, prepare yourselves) his actions and behaviour made sense and made me love him all the more.

Kerrigan is a powerhouse, she’s strong, ambitious and doesn’t let failures get her down, she just regroups and moves on to her next big project. When Kerrigan is left devastated after the relationship ends, she doesn’t wallow, she does what she does best, picks herself up and carries on, proving to not only Pierce, but her family that she really can do it all! She’s quickly become one of my top 10 favourite book heroines.

This story has everything I love from a Willa Nash book, raw emotions, jam packed with heat, fantastic characters you both love and hate and a storyline that will keep you guessing.

Buy this book now, in fact, buy the whole series, you will definitely not be disappointed!

love at first sight

absolutely loved it!! Pierce didn't want to love Kerrighan but it was love at first sight and boy he was an asshole until they got snowed in together to release what he thought he knew about Kerrighab wasn't true then there was no stopping both of them falling in love fast!!
