Publisher's Summary

"You're supposed to feel a little sad after vacation ends, but it's not supposed to break your heart."

No Vacancy is a lighthearted and steamy stand-alone romance.

Perpetual good girl Caterina Longo is dependable to a fault. At 33, she’s never called in sick. Never had a one-night stand. Never taken a chance in her entire life. When she walks in on a cheating ex and sees everything wrong with her life, she takes off on a solo vacation, busting out of her comfort zone and into the arms of a guy she never saw coming.

Joe Hunter has no room for distractions. Making his restaurant a success and proving his worth to his family - and himself - is his sole focus. At least it is until a beautiful stranger, in search of fried food and a shoulder, wanders in one night.

Is two weeks of unexpected, life-altering passion all they’re meant to share? What happens when vacation ends and real life takes over?

Starts out swoony

This book started out with lots of promise. I loved that Catarina was taking chances with her life and the whole interaction with Joe was very hot. But once they started getting into a longer relationship, the angst over their lives being so far apart became overwhelming and it made me anxious to even continue listening to the book. I needed it resolved more quickly than it was. I get the story and why it was laid out the way it was, but it made me not want to listen anymore.

My favorite part of this book was Joe. He was so in love with Caterina and his draw to her was outright swoony. Oh, and how Cat finally dealt with Trent. Priceless.

This is such a sweet and steamy story!!

Joe will make you totally swoon and have you wanting more of him. He is one of the sweetest male characters I have read.

Cat is totally his perfect match in every way.

These characters are great and will have you falling love with them. I love their connection, the couple and the friends.

Excellent Beachy Read!

Joe Hunter and Caterina Longo are so much fun in No Vacancy, the Narrators David Vaughn and Rita Fleur did an amazing job, and I absolutely loved their voices - both the accents and the emotion they both put into the book!

Joe owns The Beach Pub, and when Caterina leaves Brooklyn in a rush (she caught her boyfriend cheating in her apartment) to go on vacation in Ocean's Cove, Joe's restaurant is the only one still open when she gets there that late night.

After sharing one hot, did I say HOT ❤️‍🔥?, STEAMY, night together Joe is intent on making it into more while Caterina knows she eventually has to go back to Brooklyn and doesn't want to get any more attached to Joe than that one night left her feeling.

Unfortunately, or not, for Caterina and Joe, they cannot stay away from each other and the next three weeks is spent getting to know each other so much better, at Joe's restaurant, on the beach, on the boardwalk, you guessed it, they're basically never apart. But what is going to happen when Caterina goes home? Has Joe convinced her that a long distance relationship will work after all?

The angst-filled moments after Caterina goes home are absolutely heartbreaking, and Stephanie Rose does an excellent job building up to the climax! I really wanted her to make up her mind about 30 pages before this, I felt so bad for Joe and Caterina's fears just kept holding her back, she just could not get there and I could feel the fear in Rita Fleur's voice.

No Vacancy is a sweet, insta-love, slow burn romance audio that will suck you in and get you right in your feelings. You'll keep listening just to make sure Joe and Caterina finally find their Happily Ever After!!

Great beach read.

I just read this book toward the end of summer. Sweet, instant love story between Joe and Katarina. Their love story happened fast but they encounter some challenges that they have to work through. Make the story more interesting, I love all the family support with the hint of Grease in the story. Very enjoyable book.

Sweet read!

☆☆☆☆
No Vacancy was a really sweet romance. I’ve been wanting to read this book for a while now.
When Katarina walks in on her boyfriend of two years cheating on her, she leaves for her vacation early. This is the first vacation she’s going on in a long time since she’s a workaholic. She arrives at her beach destination a few days before her friends. She meets Joe at his restaurant across the street from her hotel. Their chemistry is immediate, undeniable and something neither have ever felt before. Both have so many self-imposed obstacles. Will they see what’s obvious and be together?
This book was a little slow for my angst-loving heart. Many will love its pace. I did love Katarina and Joe. I listened to this audiobook and David Vaughn and Rita Fleur did an incredible job. This is my honest opinion, freely given.

Instalove!

No Vacancy is sweet story, mixed with the perfect about of heat and emotion. The story begins with Caterina walking in on her boyfriend cheating on her. She immediately flees her town to escape and get away from her cheating ex. She happens upon a motel and meets the owner of the bar across the street, Joe. The two have crazy, instant chemistry. Conversation flowed easily and they fall for each other quickly. Joe is confident and successful. He cannot resist his attraction to Caterina and how drawn he is to her. I fell hard for these characters immediately. Narrators, David Vaughn and Rita Fleur do a beautiful job. Their voices pair well and their tone was perfect keeping me invested in the story from beginning to end. Stephanie Rose’s words pack a punch. They are emotional, descriptive and so beautiful. I adored Joe’s best friend Dom and cannot wait to learn more about him in No Reservations, narrated by the amazing Lessa Lamb and Zachary Webber!

Great Vacation Romance!

“You were everything I didn’t know I was looking for. And I don’t think I can let you go.”⁣

This story was the perfect beach vacation escape from all the snow and cold winter weather I’m living in right now. Sweeping me away to the small beach town of Ocean Cove, Joe and Caterina’s romance brought a smile to my face, definitely a feel good book, low on the angst but full of plenty of dirty talking steam to keep it ultra sexy. Seriously Joe’s dirty talk made this audiobook HOT. ⁣

“Don’t throw away something real just because you think it’s not supposed to be.”⁣

A vacation fling was just the distraction Caterina needed after finding her boyfriend cheating on her with another woman. Finally taking time for herself, meeting Joe was an unexpected surprise but their chemistry was undeniable, evidenced by their passion filled first night together. I enjoyed the friendship they built and the struggles they went through to take their relationship from a summer vacation fling to a full fledged relationship that could withstand the distance. They had an open honesty with each that really cemented their connection and gave them the building blocks for a forever love. Overall I really enjoyed this story, a great listen and sexy story.

Sweet, sexy, insta-love.

3.5*

No Vacancy is a second generation spin-off from Stephanie Rose's Second Chances series. I'm on the fence as to how I feel about second generation books, mostly because I don't want to think of the characters I've loved from the previous books as old! In saying that, my beloved Owen, (and Bella, Lucas, and Sam), only appeared briefly here so it didn't hit me too terribly much that he was a grown man in his 40s- he was still, and always will be, sweet OT to me! And honestly, it's always nice to revisit alpha daddy Lucas. But don't think you have to read any books before this, No Vacancy can truly be read as a standalone.

Ok, last thing I will say in reference to the "first generation" books- Joe more than outdid his dad when it came to the dirty talk! He definitely earned his Dirty Joe moniker readers have given him, that is for sure.

I think this is probably the sexiest book Ms. Rose has written so far- see Dirty Joe reference above. Also the first when it comes to insta-lust/love.
The minute Joe sets eyes on Caterina he is done for, D.O.N.E. It was only meant to be an easy summer fling, not something that would turn both their worlds upside down. But that's exactly what happened to Joe and Caterina- a 2 week summer romance ended up leading to more than either of them could have imagined.

No Vacancy was an easy, angst-free, drama-free read. Even before their two weeks together were up, Joe and Caterina knew they didn't want things to end. Because they lived 3 hours apart, and both had full-time jobs keeping them busy, there was a little back and forth as they tried to figure out how to keep their relationship going. But in the end they both knew what they wanted and did what was needed to make it work.

This is the first book I've listened to from both the narrators, David Vaughn and Rita Fleur. While I enjoyed their performances, I thought Mr. Vaughn sounded, to me, just a little older than what I would have liked for Joe's character. He did bring a lot of life and feeling to his portrayal of Joe, though, and I liked his female voices. Ms. Fleur has a very nice voice and I think she did a good job with her portrayal of Caterina- you could feel Caterina's vulnerability coming through, and her strength as the story progressed. She has a voice that I think would lend itself well to some younger female characters.
I will definitely be looking into other books narrated by both Mr. Vaughn and Ms. Fleur.
