Loved the story but not the narrator

Denise Hunter is one of my favorite authors. Her stories are filled with such heart and depth. Her characters are people that I would love to know in real life. She doesn't tip toe around hard topics, like the death of a loved one. The only thing that really detracted from this audio book was the narrator. Sometimes she spoke fast, and you couldn't distinguish between who was speaking because her voice mostly stayed the same. Sometimes when she was saying Beckett's lines, she spoke in a more feminine voice then she did for Madison's voice. I truly hate to write anything negative but it was hard to get through the whole story but I did.

Heartwarming story

This is one of those books you’re sad to see end. The two main characters are easy to like and their problems identifiable. Really enjoyed the story but the narrator seems like she’s trying to speed read her way through with little emotion behind the lines. Still a great story and worth reading or listening to.
