Demon breath. No, not the toothpaste-challenged kind. The Netherworld kind. The kind that really can kill you. Somehow the super-addictive substance has made its way to the human world. But how? Kaylee and Nash have to cut off the source and protect their friends—one of whom is already hooked.
And so is someone else....
In this installment of the Soul Screamers series by Rachel Vincent, Kaylee and her boyfriend, Nash, discover that someone is selling demon's breath to their fellow high school students as the newest and coolest drug. And, people are dying. Now, they're in a race to find the culprit before someone else dies. Not to mention that Kaylee's world gets shattered when things hit way too close to home and she's forced to make decisions no person should have to face.
I get more and more invested in these characters with every book. This one was my favorite of the books. Hopefully, Rachel Vincent does not intend on ending the series any time soon as I could easily pick up the next book and start listening right now. I think that Rachel Vincent does a very good job of developing the characters with each book. This time, I found myself wishing for something to happen that I never would have suspected but, alas, I can't tell you what that is or I might spoil things for somebody. Now, if somebody's read them and wants to talk, let me know. Oh, yeah, Amanda Roncini does an excellent job narrating as well.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes, because it was not a series I would have picked on its own, I chose it because Amanda Ronconi was the narrator.
What other book might you compare My Soul to Keep to and why?
I can't think of one to compare it too. It's original.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Any additional comments?
I hope people give this book a chance not just because of Ronconi but bc it is actually a great series as well.

l love it. very heart touching and down to earth. hits on a subject that so many people are facing on a day-to-day basis.
I love the universe of this series. I enjoyed the way the reader protrayed the characters as well as the author.
This book shows growth in the main character from the first two books. By the end of the book she is better standing up for herself and very comfortable in her abilities.
The author takes you through a more extensive emotional journey than in the previous two books though.
Good as the 1st two books! Easy to follow series. Good series to get into.
What did you love best about My Soul to Keep?
That something I totally didn't see coming happen. I was really shocked by the turn of events.
What was one of the most memorable moments of My Soul to Keep?
The ending where all the questions are answered
Any additional comments?
I'm loving this series more and more with every book
This was an action packed book! So far this series hasn't disappointed, and this was another great addition.
I love that there are a few lover quarrels as well as some real life problems teenage problems with a paranormal twist. It's easy to relate to the characters and understand what they are feeling.
Todd is growing on me, and towards the end I found myself preferring him to Nash.
I can't wait to read the next one.
If you could sum up My Soul to Keep in three words, what would they be?
I am so hooked.. I love the soul screamer series.. I will be getting them alllllllll! I love how strong the main character is.
What did you like best about My Soul to Keep? What did you like least?
I really liked the first few books in this series, even though sometimes the characters' decisions were ridiculous. In this book, however, it was just too far beyond belief and was annoying. I know teenagers are rebellious and don't trust adults etc, but the situation they were in here was really serious and dangerous, and it was just insane that they didn't tell their parents right away. Had they done that, then the whole problem probably could've been avoided. Then, at numerous points throughout the first half of the book, they should've told their parents everything - even though they told them some things. It was just too ridiculous and annoying.
You'll like this series no matter your age. i started reading young adult books a little while back, and I really like them.
