Some people are ordained for greatness. Those people usually have a lot of drama in their life. Drama I happily do without. I live in a forgotten corner of nowhere for a reason: there is safety in anonymity. I have enough problems just trying to get by. But when Kieran, a sinfully sexy demigod at the pinnacle of power, crashes into my life, suddenly my whole world is turned upside down. He’s harboring a deadly secret, one that could destroy all he holds dear. He thinks I’m the key to his salvation, and he wants me to help him claim vengeance. He also wants me with a passion.

Buy this book!!!
OMG!!! This book was amazing! I loved the story, as well as the characters. I can't wait for the next one. I hope all of the friends are in it and they get to work together. I was a bit hesitant to get a book from this author because it seems most of her books are for teens. But this book was well written, dark and gritty, without a lot of angst. The only thing about this book that I did not like is that the lead female character takes too much on her shoulders. I understand her motivations but a woman can only sacrifice so much and still exist. Gabra Zackman was great as usual. I have listened to her in other books and I always enjoy her. Buy this book!!!

This was a re-listen for me from years ago and i enjoyed it just as much the second time. I really like that this is so different from other PNR books. No Vampires, Werewolves or witches here, only humans with special abilities. I loved how these characters found loop holes all the way through this book. Cam & Liv have a past and I always love that in my romance but I also love how equal these two are. They are fighting the system together and man they did it well.
The narration was good, I really enjoy this narrator when ever I listen to her work.

Another great book by Rachel Vincent
I was upset when the Shifters series ended, so I am pretty happy that Rachel has started a new series for grown ups!
Story is basically about people with supernatural abilities living in the regular world. Of course there are good guys and bad guys and twists and turns and love interests and friendships. I enjoyed this book all the way through. Its not life alteringly fabulous, but it is great entertainment!
The narration was good as well!

Give me a break
I ran across this in audibles romance package and thought I'd give it a shot. I didn't make it very far before I realized that I had made a mistake. It started out promising with somewhat of a cool premise but around the time the main characters friend showed up demanding her help, I totally lost interest. I mean, who comes at someone asking what she's asking with that level of expectance? And then when the protagonist gave in the way she did because she felt obligated to do this thing I couldn't take anymore. That and the dialogue feels very immature. On that note, the narrator was decent with narration and female voices but horrible with masculine characters.
That's the only problem with the romance package.... it's mainly cheesy bottom of the barrel stuff.

I'm Hooked, An enthralling new series, loved it.
I was hesitant to buy this one because I was so hooked on the Shifter series by Rachel Vincent and did not know if I could really get into something so different. This series took me totally by surprise. This is one of the most original story lines I have come across in a while and it was good. It’s an action packed Urban Fantasy/Paranormal fiction with some hot romance thrown in the mix. This book has it all. Characters you love to love and those characters you love to hate. If you liked the Shifter Series you will like this one although it’s much different, but its go good. I can't wait until my credits are loaded; I am going to get the next installment.

Another Great Rachel Vincent Series
Rachel has an amazing knack for building unique fictional worlds. In a sea of carbon copy urban fantasy series, Blood Bound is a breath of fresh air. Her writing is both multifaceted and brilliant! Overall, Blood Bound is a dark and seductive thrill ride. I found myself getting pulled in the Rachel's Unbound world, and not wanting to leave. I enjoyed untangling the web that is Blood Bound!

Blood Bound
Usually it takes a good while to like a book 1 because of all the story building and world building but I got to say I really enjoyed this book right from the very beginning to the end. It was easy to get swept away in.
I think because it isn’t your regular “paranormal” meaning vamps and shifter.
I liked the oath part of this whole book, and how giving you your word can and does come to bit you in the booty. But the way Liv and her friends work around their oaths really had me intrigued.
I am not going to give you a summary of the book if you want that then keep scrolling I am sure others have done that.
What I will say is I loved the friend connection and the romantic interest in this book and how things are not always as they seem. I am invested and need to know more about these characters so I am ready to jump on to book 2.
I really enjoyed the narration, I can’t recall ever listening to this narrator but I think she did a good job bringing this world to life in my ears.
I would completely recommend this book if you’re a little tired of the normal paranormal and looking for a great YA story.

ok
Is there anything you would change about this book?
I would get rid of the sudden changes in point of view. It happened a lot and was confusing at times.
Would you recommend Blood Bound to your friends? Why or why not?
I would not recommend it. I think there are many stronger series. It was ok, but pretty depressing.
Did Gabra Zackman do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?
No, the narrator was ok, but not the best. I found myself speeding up the narration just to get through it.
Do you think Blood Bound needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
It does have a follow up book and it leaves a lot hanging unresolved so hopefully the next book rounds it out.

This is a book you can get lost in!
What did you love best about Blood Bound?
The reluctant relationsip between Cam and Liv. The intricacy of the crime families, the people bound to them, and the way each sindicate operates.
What did you like best about this story?
How Ruben is a truly bad man with a little bit of heart left. There are tibits that came out a little bit at a time that were important to the characters and the story.
What about Gabra Zackman’s performance did you like?
The voices were genuine and the women were not histerical or over the top. Everything was just right except Cam's voice should have been stronger, or more masculine.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
No extreme reaction, but I did root for the good and the bad guys. For some reason I want(ed) to see Ruben redeemed-or at least see Liv as more than "property". The ending was a bit disconcerting.
Any additional comments?
This was a great book. The world where it takes place is very intricate and well cunstructed. The relationships and events that transpired between the characters (past and present) are interesting and not predictable. There are many unanswered questions between them. They all have ideals and dreams, but are stuck in their lives due to bad decisions and deceit. Can't wait for the next book!
