Easy listening

Entertaining and funny. Easy and fun stories to listen to. I really like Zara and all the characters in these books. Great narration too.

INSANE VALUE for my favorite book series!

I have LOVED the Wisteria Series from the beginning - pre-ordering every new book as soon as they became available on Amazon!

But -- I've never listened to any of the audiobooks. I can read so much faster than I can listen. Now, however, I have a new job where I spend a lot of time driving, and reading and driving is generally frowned upon. ;P

So, this book bundle came up in my recommends, and I immediately purchased it! I love spending time in Wisteria, and these audiobooks are no exception. In fact, they've helped me appreciate the series so far in new and exciting ways. I find myself feeling differently about characters after hearing them with different voices and nuances than I had imagined. Which is a fun new way to experience everything!!

The bundle also features different narrators, which surprised me, initially -- because we have one narrator doing Zara's books, and one doing Zinnia's books. (See how well I read anything before I immediately purchased it? LOL) I approve, though, because each narrator sets her own tone for each novel. Zinnia's books are much more toned down than I had imagined them, but I think it still fits Zinnia's character very well. She's a pretty good foil for Zara.

All in all, I know how much work goes into producing audiobooks, so I can't believe we get 8 for one credit. It almost feels like stealing, lol. But, I think it did its job, because I have several credits saved up, and I know where I'll be spending them, now! :D

Cozy is right…

This was a series that was very cozy. I enjoyed listening to it while doing other things. Well except watching tv. That’s saying a lot bc my tv is always on. AAA+

A little too inspired?

Overall I am enjoying the story. It is light hearted and easy to stay with. However, I think the author may have been a bit too inspired by Gilmore Girls.

Have a road trip coming up?

This 8 book box set is a great deal! The stories are funny, engaging, and witchy weird. The narrators did an amazing job bringing them to life. In one title, there were some audio editing issues where you could hear the narrator's intake breath. It didn't bother me too much. Overall, I loved these stories and am moving on to Book 9 of the series.

Excellent world building, bad pronunciation

Great story concept with laugh out loud characters and engaging, novel plot lines.
Unfortunately, the main narrator, although gifted with delivering different character voices and accents, makes jarring pronunciation mistakes.
"Olfactory", "nefarious" and most annoyingly, "forward" are repeatedly mispronounced.
This says more about the lack of good editorial review than the narrator.

Cozy

If you download this it will randomly stop playing so don’t download and listen to it that way! The books are very enjoyable the only thing that could be annoying is she repeats things that just happened in a book which is helpful if you fall asleep or get distracted but annoying if you’re paying attention the whole time. All in all it was a good listen!

Book is good. I have 3 hrs left and it quit working. so i don't know the ending. Disappointed.

moved well through the series. They were a great listen. kept me interested and had new possibilities at every turn.

Going on a very long drive? This is for you

I wasn’t but needed to have a long something to keep my brain occupied while I did something boring! This series is nice and long and met my needs.

It’s a fun series with a couple of great narrators. The characters are well defined and act accordingly. I loved each and every one of them! I may not have figured what kind of trouble they were going to get into but when they did, it was a joy to listen.

An added fun was the author’s notes. I wish she lived next door so we could share a cupper!
