Build Lasting and Effective Teams
Team Building by Ace McCloud is an excellent audio book on teams and team building. The author of this book goes into a great deal about explaining the dynamics of an effective team and what you can do to ensure one in your workplace. The book then offers at least 100 strategies on how to utilize your team in your work setting. I recommend this book for those who are new to management.

Team Building at its finest
As a longtime fast food manager, I have to say that team building is one of the strongest traits a successful manager should have. Nothing says teamwork like trying to get a bunch of teenagers to work together toward a common goal (customer satisfaction)! This is a great book to read (listen to) to help you get to that personal professional goal of your own - that of building a team that works together like a well-oiled machine. I was impressed with some of the techniques brought forth here and I would recommend it to others who are looking for a few tips on how to build a strong, efficient, working team. It's important to remember that people are individuals first and foremost. Team leaders have to understand that and work with it.
Another thing I like about this book is the fact that you can get it on audio version instead of just the printed. I do a lot of driving and having it so readily available without straining my eyes is pretty cool.

Team Building from the Inside
Team Building gives you everything you need to know in order to facilitate a team...or effectively work on one. I was aware of the various stages of team development, but I was unaware of how the needs of team-members shifted across the different stages.
The author had very practical suggestions for a leader to help the team members overcome the challenges of their project, regardless of its size or complexity. I feel much more capable of leading a team into healthy interaction and effective productivity, thanks to this book.

Build a Dynamic Team to Reach Goals
Where does Team Building rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
This book is up in the top 90 percent of the books I have listened to so far in the nonfiction area.
What did you like best about this story?
I like that nothing presented in this book is impossible. All the suggestions and exercises are easy to do and should be able to be accomplished.
Which character – as performed by Joshua Mackey – was your favorite?
This is a non fiction book so there were no characters. I will say that Joshua Mackey is a very good reader and keeps your interest.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
No extreme reactions because of the subject of the nonfiction book, but I did have a few light bulb moments where I asked why I didn't think of that. It should work.
Any additional comments?
Every team leader should read this book and then give it to all the members on their team to read. It emphasizes that teams need to work together and the team leader needs to know certain things to keep that team working toward its goal. The book teaches team leaders to listen, communicate, think positively and communicate. It teaches team leaders to respect the members and listen. It explains how to motivate members, how to reach goals, how to plan and develop plans to get where the team wants to go. The exercises on teamwork do much to make a team work together better.

Building a dynamic, successful team
This book taught me a great deal about team building. But, what it also taught me is that building a great team requires a great leader. It provides great tips for building a team that can work well with rather than against on another. It demonstrated that a creative, motivating and desirable team environment can go a long way in building team morale and boosting results. I've seen a great deal of positive changes already in my leading strategies and how they are translating to building better teams. I can't wait to see the long-term effects of the amazing tips this book has shown me. I recommend this book to anyone looking to not only build a better team, but looking to be a better leader as well.

Helpful tips for team building
I got given a task at work that required leading a team - this made me really nervous because in the past I've been in dysfunctional teams that didn't work well together.
This book taught me the five stages of team development, and the core values needed to create a harmonious team. It covers how to appropriately assign tasks, and the best incentives to motivate different team members. I tried out one of the suggested ice-breaking games (cake baking) as a way of introducing new people to the team. Everyone had a great time and it really helped gel everyone together.
This book really helped me to get everyone in my team to work as a unit - highly recommended!

It's helped me not only in creating a better team but in making me more confident as a manager.

Team Building Done Right!
If you could sum up Team Building in three words, what would they be?
Informative, Engaging, Guidance
What was one of the most memorable moments of Team Building?
In this guide to team building one of the best parts was the section that dealt with all the different factors that you must look at when it comes to putting together a successful team. Just the share amount of details that the author provides was a real eye opener and is definitely required listening for anyone who is responsible for such a job.
Have you listened to any of Joshua Mackey’s other performances? How does this one compare?
Like all his other narrations, I thought Mackey was excellent at being engaging throughout and being enthusiastic.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes, it was very easy to listen to and well-laid out.
Any additional comments?
Team Building was a very interesting listen and I highly recommend it for those who are looking for advice in this area. It covers so much, from motivation, team mission statements and even some games for team building. 5 stars!

Team building masterclass!
What a helpful and enduringly challenging book. I manage a team of independent contractors within my small business and found this audiobook to be a goldmine of inspirational and well-conceived ideas for promoting strength and health in all aspects of teamwork. Ace McCloud looks closely at building a team throughout each stage of that team's existence. New teams need different management at the beginning to when they are established, and this book is full of practical advice on how to foster positivity and a strong work ethic, to productive rewards and incentive, to dealing with team members who might be a little harder to get along with!
The section on how to incentivise one person in a team without discouraging another was particularly helpful, but it's hard to pick out individual sections of merit as it was useful and thought provoking from beginning to end.
Excellent content that is narrated with flourish by Joshua Mackey, who makes this an easy listen that can be taken in one sitting. However, there's a lot in there, so you might want to make some notes.

Effective Team Building Tips!
Any additional comments?
All my life, I have been the kind of person who prefers to follow orders than to lead. I just found it a lot easier to wait and be given instructions on what to do rather than stressing myself out for handling a group of people. Just recently, I was given a task which is really new to me. It is to train a few of our newly hired employees at work. Obviously, being a follower in most circumstances did not help my situation. So when I got home, I went to search some useful tips online and that’s how I came across this book here on Audible.
I was able to apply the tips I have learned from this book for our team building, and oh boy, my boss was really impressed with our new staff’s progress (thanks to me)! Don’t get me wrong but I was also shocked with the outcome! This book actually made me realise that I am actually an effective leader as much as I am as a follower. I think it is time to have a change of mindset!

A Gem of a Book on Team Building
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I would definitely recommend this book to a friend. In fact, I have already been pushing this book to several colleagues and people I know in business. All of them, I am sure, will benefit from this guide and I am confident they will thank me in the near future.
What other book might you compare Team Building to, and why?
Due to my position at work I have read a number of books on how to develop good working relationships in a team and I can honestly say no other guide sets out its advice as clearly and concisely as this one.
What about Joshua Mackey’s performance did you like?
Joshua Mackey helps keep the listener interested at all times and just waiting for some more great advice.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
There was nothing that particularly moved me, but there were many great examples that really chimed with my own experiences in and leading teams. I wish I had listened to this book many years ago - it would have saved me a lot of trouble!
Any additional comments?
A great book for anyone who wants to improve the way they work with others!

basic, obvious, cringeworthy. really crap guide to team building. lots about what a good team looks like and how a team can 'win' but nothing in the way of decent practical advice or steps. total waste of time.

How to Build a Winning Team
What did you like most about Team Building?
I especially liked the fun and the relaxing ice breaker games suggested by the author. This helps to motivate the team members and practice a better communication among them.
Any additional comments?
Team Building by Ace McCloud is an amazing book that shows how to build and manage successful teams more easily. Being a team leader brings a lot of responsibilities with multiple roles. This book can help a team leader enhance his/her skills by giving new ideas, suggestions and strategies to lead the team, inspire, motivate, and organise them.
The 5 stages of team development (Forming, Storming, Norming, Performing, Dispending) are explained very well and one can learn a lot from them.
Communication is key and definitely setting a good example is a must!
